spudfan Posted September 2 Posted September 2 (edited) I had an issue with a Hornby class 66 diesel, 66005. It stopped working and was shorting out the transformer (red light coming on). It was out of warranty and I had bought it from Hattons who are no longer trading. I contacted Hornby who told me to send it over to them. I got it back repaired free of charge. Turned out to be a faulty capacitor. Their customer service is very good. Edited September 2 by spudfan 2 2 Quote
spudfan Posted September 19 Author Posted September 19 Had another class 66 (66109 PD Ports) repaired out of warranty free of charge. New motor fitted. The customer service is very good as I have said before. I have a few of these class 66 locos and most run fine. These two didn't but Hornby came good in both cases. 2 1 Quote
