Flying Scotsman 4472 Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Apparently the plane was carrying army trucks which broke loose on take off which put the plane into a steep unrecoverable climb and stall http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3GGaHYcrlQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FMUskm2bpE Quote
Glenderg Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 I read about this a few days ago on avherald.com and i believe that the consensus is that there was a significant shift in the centre of gravity which caused the extreme nose up angle, subsequent stall and rolling yaw. The fact that the gear is still down shows that positive flight has not been established, the poor buggers knew something was badly wrong. It's a shocking piece of video, and my heart goes out to the 7 families involved. RIP http://www.avherald.com/h?article=46183bb4&opt=0 Richie. Quote
