Very nice looking as usual. Any info on the years the containers (tea and kegs) ran in chaps?
Any idea why the Harp kegs specifically went in these?
Lyons tea introduced 8 new 20 ft containers in 1970 and from Dublin the liners went to Cork, Tralee, Limerick, Kilkenny, Athlone, Galway, Sligo, Dundalk and Wexford
Hows the tour going?

HI All
I don't have any problems sending Models to Ireland !!!! i cant see the Hassell part as ive not picked up on negative feedback due to charges as i do mark them down a little !!!!!!
Regards Arran
Hi Arran
It was not an issue with Crail, I was talking about the hassle getting some purchases from UK, items held by customs been sent back to the retailer, having to wait a week or more after paying vat etc before item is delivered, wrong amount of vat due etc.
I have bought containers from you before and they are excellent and will buy again from you
Regards Bob

Well we definitely have quite a mix and a bit of something for everyone coming along in the next announcements and through into early next year (and beyond)!
There is something modern in there, something older, something else in the middle, and in the nearly new year more old things, a few very new things, and even more old things
I can, joking aside, confirm we have powered models, coaches, wagons (and perhaps even units) all coming up fast on the roadmap that we're excited to share in the coming weeks and months
Excellent, looking forward to it

They're pretty bad, as per the photos above.
They don't look great but too late now at least I have some new containers, ordering from the UK is a hassle

Honestly ive no idea! It appears to have a Bachmann Chassis, and it's the middle car that is the power unit with the older hook and loop coupling (could be common, however this is my first ever DMU, so I have nothing to compare it to)
No make on the posting, no box, only thing I know about it is its a 2200 and it's DCC fitted
Probably a Bachmann class 170, have similar unit in Intercity grey from C Dyer and the power car is middle unit

Marino point is going to be redeveloped as a JV with Gouldings fertilisers, and the plans include a rail link for distribution of fertilisers.. But whether the rail part actually happens or if it is just to secure planning remains to be seen
Hopefully the rail freight will happen as the Cork to Cobh line passes next to the site
-
No rail connection and the road has to be upgraded so the new container port can only operate at 50% capacity until the road upgrade is complete. The port of Cork also bought the old IFI plant in Marino point so maybe there might be some rail freight there when it's redeveloped

Big fan of the grey 071, the 2200 DMU looks well
