  1. ON THIS DAY (31ST JANUARY 2006) at 18;06 The last ever beet train departed Wellingtonbridge for Mallow behind 081. I was lucky enough to be there for the last three days of the last season. Hard to believe that was fifteen years ago. But did not take the video camera for this trip. Here are the last videos that I took at the start of the last ever Beet season. A photo of the last departure can be found at Most of the pictures were lost when the old Foto-pic site closed. Hope that you can enjoy the film and it brings back some happy memories of these trains. Is the anywhere that I would be able to buy OO gauge “Ready to Run” double stacked Corrugated sided Irish sugar beet wagons? Or is there a possibility that Irish Railway Models would be releasing a range of Irish sugar beet wagons in the future? As the already have the wonderfully detailed liner flats & by just adding an open toped red container to this range of wagons, they would have a set of modern beet wagons to start the sets off. With the corrugated side versions to follow. Just an idea and a lot of hope. Stay safe every one and together we can all get through these trying times. Happy modelling. Kahier Model Railway.
  2. Have a very Merry Christmas to you all. I hope that 2021 we be a better for every one. Keep safe and all the very best. 1816846866_MerryChristmas.mp4
  3. These are the only images that I have on 129. Sorry about the quality of them. These have been lifted from old VHS video footage. Photo 1 / 2 / 3 were taken in 2000 in Waterford yard and photo 4 was taken in 2002 at Kildare. But they all show the single marker light on the left-hand side. Hope this helps. Kahier Model Railway.
  4. Thank you, Noel. Hattons, Rails of Sheffield. Kenow models rail centre all still showing as a per order and not in stock. Hopefully they will be available in the next few days. Like all the photos that have been shown on line. thank you all. Kahier Model Railway.
  5. Has any one got any idea when the IE & Super train livered 121’s will reach the UK model shops. Have had a per order for these locomotives for 20 months Order Date: 17/04/2019 As most of the other livered 121’s were in the UK shops just a day or so after going on sale in Ireland. Thanks for any reply. Kahier Model Railway.
