Afternoon all, Pictures of the first two RPSI Santa Spls from Pearse to Greystones are now online at http://smu.gs/2hcbH3Z The update also includes various EMU and ICR photos on the southside DART line. Enjoy! The Wanderer. -
I would echo Broithe's comments. I do know a certain man from Cork nearly was banned but there was no legal way to enforce it afaik. As for type of trouble? Don't know the details, usually get a alert "delayed due to passenger trouble. Gardai called". That could be as minor as a passenger refusing to buy/show a ticket to a fight on a train. Although the fights do tend to get mentioned in the alerts!
-
Today was the worst day I can remember in a long time for antisocial behaviour and gardai needing to be called to the train to remove disruptive "customers". Along with the above two incidents, there were another three incidents which required Gardai to be called to remove or deal with passengers. None of the trains involved would what would be called "returning home after a party" train.

Good evening folks I've spent the evening catching up on the photos since last weekend. The December gallery has images from: - Limerick - Ballybrophy - Newbridge - Adamstown - Drumcondra - Broombridge - Cabra: 226 on the IWT Liner. - Heuston: 231 on the 1900 to Cork plus ICR's on the 1935 to Galway. Click http://smu.gs/2gOOrNn to view. Also updated is the LUAS Cross City line with a long overdue photographic survey of the route between Broombridge and St. Stephen's Green. Fantastic progress has been made on the entire route with all the track laid in the city centre and a good portion of the route between Broadstone and Broombridge is also laid. Due to the atrocious weather on this day with heavy rain, several of the photographs aren't to the standard I would aspire to. Click http://smu.gs/2hpOpe7 to view. -

The last update from my journey to Belfast has now been uploaded and features photos from Yorkgate, Central and Cultra. Also some images from today at Heuston, Carn Bridge, Portlaoise and Ballybrophy. Click http://smu.gs/2hpYvMP to view all the images. As an aside, Thursday night turned out to be the last night of the 80 Class Sandite runs as it was cancelled on Friday night. It was good to witness the sights and sounds of these classic trains for a final time. The Sandite season for next year will be in the hands of a MPV. -

Evening all, Iarnród Éireann launched their new commuter services connecting stations between Newbridge and Parkwest with Connolly to Grand Canal Dock via the Phoenix Park Tunnel line on Monday 21st November. The introduction of the new services follows an investment of €13.7 million in upgrading the Phoenix Park Tunnel route, funded by the National Transport Authority. Seven new morning peak trains to Grand Canal Dock, and eight new evening peak trains from Grand Canal Dock begin on Monday 21st November, with limited stop services in the opposite direction. Passenger loadings on the two inbound services this morning which I travelled on were very healthy and it is a good indication that it will be a popular service in the coming years. This is the first phase of services to operate via the Phoenix Park Tunnel. Iarnród Éireann and the National Transport Authority plan to expand services in the future to include off-peak and weekend services. Click http://smu.gs/2gvoIZS to view. There will also be a video uploaded to the gallery and pictures of one of the evening peak workings later this evening (all going to plan). -
