  1. Hey, was in Graham's toymaster in Portlaoise on Wednesday and picked up some more stuff, some of which were people but getting them to stand up is proving very tricky. What is the best way to get them to stand and stay standing - glue? Or something else? Also, if anyone has any more information about the engine I posted above it would be great too. Once the n-gauge is finished its onto making some small layout for that to run on.
  2. Thanks for the advice, will have a look when I get the chance. In the meantime I have another question. I got passed down an old train set recently with an engine made in Ireland. Can anyone tell me more about it?
  3. A few updates been made and also moved to a new house so been a while updating this. Looking to get a couple of stations next. Was in Mark's in Hawkins street on Wednesday and the guy working there (don't know if he's on this) recommended gaugemasters. Any advice on that matter?

Only joined recently and was looking for a place to go. Had a look at a few forums but having one focused on Irish modelling was very important and it has been great reading the posts here. Only starting to get into modelling but this has been a great source of knowledge and information and will only continue to grow as my layout/ collection grows. Thanks to all involved!
  5. Saw one in Dallas before. Looking out the window for a couple of minutes just watching it go by, then turned back 5 minutes later and it was still going.
  6. Brilliant!
  7. Cheers guys, and don't worry, there will be lots of stupid questions.
  8. Thought I'd post up a picture of what I have. Have a fair bit of 00 track and a few engines for it but its all packed away until I have more money and space. So bought an N-Gauge set and got a baseboard made by Dave. Been interested for years but really new at this so any tips would be greatly appreciated. Will post updates as I go.
  9. We just got general admission tickets and sat on the straight after Eau Rouge. If you get down towards the end and get there early, you can get a great seat, with a big screen in front of you and a good view of the chicane. It's also where the DRS zone is so plenty of overtakes. I'd recommend that. Always packed and a great atmosphere. We also got to see Hamilton crash into Kobayashi which resulted in big cheers from the majority of the crowd.
  10. Can't wait for this. Mercedes will probably not do great next season but will be doing more the following season when the rules change again with regards to engines. McClaren are also losing money because they now have to pay Mercedes for their engines. Anyone ever been to a grand prix? I was at Spa two years ago and Monza last year. Hoping to go to Barcelona this season.
  11. That looks incredible. Have to visit that someday. Also, great news about the Fry Collection. That's what got me into trains in the first place. That and Thomas!
