Wow, 30 bids and still 6 days to go!

This is going to be an expensive one.

  2. Loolink forward to seeing this one, Nelson, as I plan on making a few GN or NCC vans at some point.

There are some good colour pics of (I think!) NCC goods vans in:

'Irish Railways in Colour - a Second Glance' - p.143; and

'The UTA in Colour' - p.76.

I have the UTA in colour, but I didn't think to look in there, thanks i'll have a look later.

  3. Hello fellow friends,

As Halloween approaches, school is off for 1 week (yay) which means I can get down to do some serious modelling. What I'm hoping to do, is to start work on a LMS NCC 12ton van. A very unique van.

But as with every model, re search is key, to get as accurate as can be.

I look through books and websites along with photos to see if I can get any info or pictures on the prototype. I was lucky to find some plans on this brilliant website, which I will be working from.

An order will be placed for more plasticard and some roof ventilators for the van in due course.

    Thanks

    Nelson

It does look very nice, I wonder how much it will sell for?

  5. Caroline is just amazing, please post some more pics of her! The Tante Ju and jumping Falschirmjaeger too, nice low contrast between 70 and 71 upper surfaces. I see you have the good old Frog Spit XIV and V1 too.

Is Bismarck the Revell or Tamiya? Haven't built one since the inaccurate but much-loved Airfix 1/600. Very nice rendition of the pre-Rheinubung Baltic scheme.

Some good footage of the Denmark Straits action taken from (my fave Kriegsmarine boat) Prinz Eugen, in case you haven't seen it before, illustrating detail of how salvos were fired in action and other stuff you tend not to find elsewhere:

    Hi,

Thanks for the comment, I will post more pictures of caroline soon.

The bismarck model is actually a very old Heller model, I'll also post pics of that soon as well,

    Many thanks

  6. Well done Nelson, some excellent work with the potential to hit an even higher level. Watched your work on RM Web and for someone so young to achieve such a good standard bodes well for the future.

Perhaps this thread may sit better in the Workbench section as I'm sure there is more to come.

Thanks for your kind words, I just though I might post what I currently have on here and then anything extra can go on the workbench thread.

  7. Don't ask Bosko - his vids are masterpieces of transition techniques and slick editing! Make them longer :o and show us the pug at the very end! Any chance of an overall view of the layout, looks wonderful. I subbed too.

    Richie.

Thanks for the sub, and comment, all my videoing and editing is done on the ipad. And don't worry, i will make more videos of the layout very soon.
