Avoca had 771 residents according to the 2016 census, which isn't very large, but stations serve smaller villages. 1

Ballybrophy claims around 150 inhabitants and has just had to have the car parking trebled.

The NTA are similarly cool on another DSER proposal to reopen Glenealy. They'd much rather swing the axe-- ahem, I mean introduce a shuttle from Greystones to Rosslare. They're still considering it, as this Independent article says. Aren't intercity trains meant to have higher priority than commuter ones? Not in this country, apparently. 1 1
