Yes, they carried coal from the coal collieries to the power stations, and were designed for automatic unloading while still moving at slow speeds in the power stations,  Class 47/3's were modified with slow speed control for this and later the class 56 and 58 locos too.  Originally class 50's were equipped for slow speed for control too but was never used so was removed.

I don't think that A/S have done loads for the MGR wagons, yet, but as they have done them for several other wagons, I wouldn't be surprised to see them some day.
