Galteemore Posted February 5 Posted February 5 That’s very impressive Callum. In terms of inflation and material costs it will probably work out on a par with building the original!! Will be a fabulous tribute to the original. 2 1 Quote
M.G.W.R_CLASS_50_1939 Posted February 5 Author Posted February 5 Thank you very much yes well currently over 2 years I've spent nearly 2 k in materials and parts but that was between 2023 and 2024 but luckily we have made alot of parts for it so making it yourself helps it's progressing nicely I reckon it'll need nearly 1000 euro to 1,500 euro to complete it luckily I have from 2025 till 2029 to get it complete biggest expenses will be making the cylinders and the silver solder for the boiler 12 minutes ago, Galteemore said: That’s very impressive Callum. David Holman Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Wow! A phenomenal project for anyone to contemplate, but brilliant to see it coming from the next generation of engineers. 1 Quote
