Modern NIR blue

anyone give me info on the current colour of blue paint that's used on the NIR red bull livery thanks in advance folks

The only info I can throw in, Liverbird, and I know it's probably not your question, is that the current NIR loco blue, as on 111-3, and "red bull" blue, are not the same.

 

The red bull livery will not be as easy to replicate as others, as it's slightly metallic in hue (as ICR silver). Metallic colours have yet to look all that convincing on models! Maybe weathering will assist realism in the short term....

Yea I'm in agreement there it's like blue with the tiniest hint of purple through it on the cafs anyway on the 80's and 450's it's more blue I think. itl be trial and error to be honest I think
