Heuston Valeting Plant Refurbishment

After years in the doldrums, the Heuston Valeting Plant has reopened after completion of a full Mechanical & Electrical refurbishment. A gauge run to ensure fume extraction hood clearance and track inspections were recently completed and pictured below. The refurbishment is in preparation for the use of the facility for the roll out of the new Train Protection System to the fleet from 2020 onward.

A great transformation from when I was in there to get the RPSI stock out! Saw the Mk4 rake in there one evening heading home

Yes, this is the blue shed, and Heuston SER (as the box is known as) is around P10
