The train is a real time capsule from the late 1950s with no two vehicles alike

The first coach appears to be an ex-GSWR clerestory coach dating from the early 1900s.

The second coach appears to be a Bredin Corridor Second dating from the mid 1930s.

The third vehicle appears to be a Bulleid 4w Luggage Van or "Hooded Van which were introduced in 1956/7.

The Wexford-Rosslare local trains continued to be steam worked into the late 1950s.

There is a series of photos of the 6:50 am Wexford_Rosslare at Rosslare Harbour in Anthony Burges "Chasing the Flying Snail"

The train which was hauled by ex-GSWR D10 4-4-0 314  was made up of an ex-GSWR Clerestory, an ex-MGWR 6w coach and a Hooded van. The train returned as a mixed (goods and passenger) to Ballygeary with the loco running tender first with the wagons coupled between the loco and the coaches.
