  1. I think in some ways we have come to expect too much with the increase in standard of not only in manufacturing but in the level of detail of newer models over all that we can forget that these models have to be made to not only give the manufacturers the must bang for their buck but also the modeller and compromises done have to be mad on both sides. Just my two cents.

080 looks fab. Just as I remember them

For me when someone says it's just how I remember them its high praise indeed

Fantastic work. 080 is the standout for me. Really like the grime around the exhaust and fans in particular.

Thanks Jason. For me personally it is a favourite having really taken the time to apply lessons learnt and from feedback I've got from here.

  3. 080 got the good news over the Christmas break and 210 got some work done removing some of my early attempts at weathering. 085 is currently on the work bench receiving some work to help with that factory weathering. As always your thoughts are appreciated.

Great idea-  l know l will be in the minority but l am a big fan of anything 201-related!!

I like the fact they are still around hauling passenger trains, aswell as the freight and you can see them 'up close' everyday.

The 201 'yellow faces' began in the orange livery in 2005 and the Green/Silver 'Intercity' livery began (with the same 'yellow faces') in mid 2006.

Big fan myself of the class. I wish I had information to add to your project but best of luck with it and I look forward to seeing the results.

Have to get that @Dempsey fellow to fly down here and do some weathering.

    A lot of weathering, actually.

@Rob, your layout is something else. Many of the photos look almost real.

You have a talent for making off-track spaces look realistic, not over-crowded with evey square cm home to something.

House calls in this climate?!  😂😂

Would have taken at least an hour if not two to winch it out of the plane and onto the trailer, need to keep everything reasonable level so nothing was damaged, not at least the plane

If they were needed for freight they would all be out and about. Its a clear indication of how much freight has been lost down the years

Not that important in the bigger scheme of things, 121 was one of, if not the first EMD loco to be exported to Europe and it was not preserved for this reason, despite rumours to the contary

Absolutely agree. It was more of a general inquiry if a conversion was possible.

  7. I remember coming across a video of a MM example repainted in the rail fright livery the same as the 071s. I thought it wore it well. Could a few of the non push pulls in storage be converted to run on fright duties?
