These are newly produced models and the usual 512 of each has not been produced
I have put some pics on the other thread to show a couple of pics of the old and new coaches
And please don't ask me any stupid questions, I only took the pics!
So how many of each then, do you know?
-
are these unique to Marks or will they become more widely available?
-
Sorry team, I won't be able to help with this one. Need the funds for more personally desirable items like the ferts etc.

Excellent guide, much appreciated!
it's on my very long list of jobs to start at some undefined future point...

yeah, sold separately in packs of 3 of 5 or whatever would be great.

10% code worked fine with the full rake pack for me ...

Jaysus lads, 5 new models to be announced in addition to the Tara, and all to be released in 2018.
5?, where's that mentioned?

Thanks for the feedback so far everyone! It's at polar opposite to the British market currently, with their consensus being 'dont tell us till its here', but with so many broken promises in that market it's not hard to understand why they prefer that tactic.
History of failure to deliver over there and a different market... The Irish market being sooooooo limited in terms of quality supply I think it is key to know what is coming in the foreseeable future. A handy example is the 42ft wagon being discussed on the other thread. IRM hinting they'll produce it there (maybe reading too much into that). I'd certainly be very interested in the shapeways version but if I know a RTR will appear this / next year I can plan for that instead. Unfortunate for Nile but I'd hate to buy those then hear a RTR is 8 weeks away.

If you could get Murphy or IRM standard RTR N scale stuff I'd be all over it. Already have some Swiss N and it's great. The layout scale in the same space would be such a plus.

Have to agree with Blaine on this one, the Silverfox stuff is exorbitantly priced sub-standard junk IMO

Great collection of photos
Any info on the ship appearing in the second image, Zwarte? I'd love a kit or something like that!

Hi Chris
can you share more details? Contrast where specifically
background is white, post is white, quote area underneath is white, user member panel on the left of post is white.
all very samish and hard to delineate.
Bit like the new boards.ie site compared to the older one...
-
don't mean to be negative but the contrast between posts is pretty poor. Grey and White don't sit well together being so similar, maybe make one of the shades slightly darker?
Other than that pretty nice and tidy layout. Actually the posting box itself looks pretty good with the darker shade, something similar to that perhaps?

Much better effort than 071, that orange was completely wrong imo.

Mine finally arrived today
We've all seen how fantastic the models are but also a mention to the beautiful packaging! The boxes look really great, nice and solid too!

What is really amazing is that these were announced 18 months ago, deposits were taken, some paid upfront and we have them in front of us now. A lot of people pre ordered and pre pay deposits fro models going back years without any sign of them from the manufacturers. Huge respect for getting them here in that time.
100% agree. It really is a credit to the team that set the ambitious time lines and got the job done. Showing no sign of let up with the bubbles either!

IF the 121s get released this year!
So is it only wagons being re-released? I'd seriously think about another NIR101 if it became available again.
-
So, to the news!
As Patrick mentioned earlier, himself and myself had to fly out to Germany this weekend to meet our Chinese factory representatives to discuss and finalise a number of details. They are as follows:
1. The ballast wagon will be going into production next week after Chinese New Year ends with a delivery date of late April 2017.
Good news
2. The tooling for our Tara Mines wagon will start next week also, which will see our production schedule accelerate dramatically now we are dealing directly with our factory.
great news
3. Once the Ballasts lands the bubbles will go to production with a summer 2017 release date.
even better news
4. We have secured extra production capacity with our manufacturing partner which will see an increase of new models we will be bringing to market. Some of these will be fairly easy to guess while others will come as a surprise to many!
damn cryptic annoying news, just tell us already!
That's the news folks! It's been a hugely tiring day but we've reacquainted ourselves with some old friends, made some new ones and have begun our next chapter!

So what was it then? Or still in hiding?
-
Excellent, another quality model to add to the list. Looks like I won't have to butcher those dapol network rail wagons I have afterall.
-
Great service again there lads, emailed on the back of this thread to amend packs, reply overnight all sorted. Easy peasy
-
Why would they bin 071s after spending money and time refurbishing them recently?
It's irish rail...
it would be disappointing but hardly surprising if it were to happen.
