  1. Hi everyone, Great news! Even though today is the last day we can guarantee delivery for any mail order in Ireland you can still collect any new orders from our Dublin warehouse up until December 23rd! Just present ID and your order number when collecting! You can collect your items 24 hours after placing the order with full address details emailed to you. It is based on Oak road, not too far from the M50 and Naas Road, just off the Nangor Road. Please note this is a trial for new orders placed only, but if successful we will look to offer it for existing pre-orders of the A Class in the new year. In the meantime, get your Christmas shopping done by close of business today if you want them to arrive before the 25th! We have limited amounts of cement bubbles, weed sprays, 121s, ballasts, gypsums, ploughs and spoils in stock! Shop now https://irishrailwaymodels.com/ Cheers! Fran
  2. With 25th December fast approaching it’s been an unprecedented year for orders and deliveries this holiday season. We’ve been informed by our courier partners that deliveries need to be sent earlier than in past years due to the huge volume increases. With that in mind our delivery partners advise ordering before 14th December for delivery in Ireland. International orders will need to be earlier than this of course. Orders after these dates may arrive before 25th December but it is not guaranteed. In the meantime we are working through our backlog of pre-orders and Black Friday orders and these will be cleared by Monday next. So, if you want to get that railway related last minute gift idea, now is the time to do it! https://irishrailwaymodels.com/ Cheers! Fran

  3. Hi Liam, We are very sorry about this. We switched to a new Dublin based warehouse ahead of the dreaded B word and their early dispatches have indeed left a little to be desired. Can report with feedback that they have since significantly upped their game in this regard. Still have no idea how a big hole ended up in the side of the box though. Please email us with your order number to support@irishrailwaymodels.com and we will sort out any issues with the loco for you, Thanks, Fran
  4. Hi everyone, Just a note to say we have some very limited stock of the IE 121s back on sale. We're still powering through pre-orders but if you want to grab one of these you can do via the website https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/murphy-models-class-121-locomotive We also have all three yellow and grey running numbers back in stock too if you missed out. as well as 645 sound chips, standard hips and we are due 567 ones back in soon too. Cheers! Fran
  5. We do have a policy of no politics on the forum, folks. So let's keep that in mind. I know it's tied in with the subject matter of this thread but if we can keep it about addresspal more than the whole B business it would be smashing. Cheers Fran
  6. It's no problem at all, and we do usually let things be a free rein here most of the time, but we just want to make sure in this instance the RPSI cause gets out there as much as we can. Well done to everyone who purchased today!
  7. We can confirm though that the As are now in the early stages of production. We've been accused of dropping things from a height recently without fair warning. Well, here is your 5 month warning!!!
  8. They're in and in the middle of dispatch as we speak, but please remember we had ballasts, gypsums, 121s and Black Friday orders to get through with packers being down in numbers due to COVID 19 guidelines meaning space constraints. Going as fast as we can!
  9. We did have Black Friday Spoils, gypsum and ballast pre-orders and MM 121s happen all at the same time on top of COVID distancing guidelines, so takes a while to get them all picked, packed and shipped!
  10. Hi Robert, A Class isnt due till April/May 2021. Sorry! Cheers, Fran
  11. Hi everyone, Just back from taking our delivery of the final batch of 121s. These will be counted into stock and dispatch will begin from tomorrow. Had a sneaky look at Super Train and it's a gorgeous model in the flesh, just like the other 121 variants. With those, project 42 and our ballast gypsum wagons 2020 has been the most fantastic year to be an Irish model railway enthusiast. Congratulations to Paddy on (in my humble opinion) his best model to date with the 121s. Cheers! Fran
  12. Hi everyone, Can we focus on the last remaining B134s for sale for the RPSI instead of hitting them with wishlisting product suggestions? I know no harm is meant but this is an important fund raiser for them after a year of not being able to run trains. Big bills are still incurred and still have to be paid without income from us enthusiasts and members of the general public to pay fares. The RPSI have to keep the wheels turning even without this revenue. The model of B134 has been a welcome boost to their coffers I'm sure so lets not let it get lost by going off on wishlist tangents. Can report we are down to 13 units on the website now, so let's support them and focus on getting that last bit of revenue into the RPSI! Cheers, Fran
  13. Hi everyone, As you will have seen these orders will be arriving with customers now, with more due to leave the warehouse next week. Gypsums have sold particularly well, with just over 60% gone, so make sure you move quick to get yours before they go! We recently added complete images of all them to our website, and very pretty they look too. Check them out on the website here: https://irishrailwaymodels.com/collections/gypsum-ore-wagons Cheers, Fran

  15. I cant remember which one but one of the ploughs carried IR branding well into the 00s, so absolutely valid!
  16. It's been another busy four weeks here at Accurascale, with new models arriving in stock, newly tooled models demonstrated for the first time and a new announcement too! So, sit back with a cuppa and check out all our latest news updates below... New In Stock! PTA/JTA/JUA in OO! After a period of quarantine, 10 days in customs, storms and other fun, our first batches of our new tippler wagons arrived in stock! Yeoman, British Steel and VTG packs are the first packs to arrive. At the time of writing we have cleared initial pre-orders, with new orders since the stock arrived and some trade orders still being fulfilled. This has been our biggest model to date when it comes to pre-orders, and has been a massive challenge to get all the orders out the door. In the meantime both British Steel inner packs are now sold out here at Accurascale (dont worry! Any current orders we have are safe!) but you may find additional packs with our retail network! The ARC tipplers are due in stock later next week and will be shipped out as soon as we can! We also have a limited amount of stock for sale on our website in all liveries. Fancy some? Stock is running low, so place your order here! New Model! MDO and MDV wagons in OO! Our latest announcement in OO/4mm is the British Railways unfitted 21 Ton mineral wagon diagram 1/107 (later classed as MDO under the TOPS system) and the British Railways vacuum braked 21 Ton mineral wagon diagram 1/120 (later classed as MDV under the TOPS system), two much needed wagons in ready to run form! These wagons form part of our “Powering Britain” plan of recreating the wagons through the ages that fuelled Britain by rail. This began with the 24.5 Ton HUO hopper wagons and will be represented by the forthcoming HYA bogie hoppers, IIA biomass hoppers, these 21 Ton mineral wagons and other forthcoming, but as yet unannounced, Accurascale models. As ever, we will be offering both wagons in packs of three wagons with multiple running numbers across several packs in both pre TOPS and TOPS guises, with grey and bauxite liveries represented. Price per three wagon pack is £74.95 with bundle deals available as always, giving you further savings! Delivery is slated for Q3 2021 and are available to pre-order direct right here or via one of our 90 local stockists. (Please note that tweaks and improvements will be made to these pre-production samples before production) Class 92 Preview This month we delivered some more project updates! As you will see in the video below, there has been a lot going on behind the scenes on this locomotive. Check out the beautiful DCC operated pantographs, the tooling improvements currently being made, superb Legomanbiffo sound, excellent smooth running and the wealth of detail that has gone into our dysons! After March 19th, 2021 The price increases to £179.99 for DCC ready and £270.00 for DCC sound, which is still incredible value for money considering the tech inside (twin DCC operated raising and lowering pantographs, ESU powerpack, High quality 5 pole skew wound motor with twin flywheels and all wheel drive, high end model with a wealth of separately applied detail and etched parts and Legomanbiffo sound on an ESU Loksound 5 chip in the DCC sound variants. Tempted? We are pretty sure that you are! Place your order here to avail of the early bird price of £159.99 for DCC ready and £250.00 for DCC sound with just a £30 deposit or pay in full now, it's up to you! JSA and KUA Update This month we also offered a project update our JSA and KUA wagons. We are delighted to announce that both projects are either completed or almost completed. Our JSAs are now complete and are in the container heading to the UK. Unfortunately due to the high volume of traffic coming out of China they are due to land at Felixstowe on Boxing Day, so will just miss out on Christmas. As we have seen with our PTAs, it is quite possible that these will spend considerable time in customs (PTAs were 10 days!) but we will do all we can to move them as quickly as possible to our warehouse and get shipping when the new year begins! Our KUA wagons are impressive beasts and have gone down very well with modellers looking to replicate these interesting nuclear workings on their layouts. Production is now at an advanced stage, but we had hoped to have them completed by now. We pushed as hard as we could to land these in December but due to COVID and a shortage of staff in the factory (some have been pinched by larger tech companies and with COVID travel restrictions unable to replaced) delivery for these KUAs has slipped into the new year. We are very sorry for this delay, but unfortunately there is little we can do to speed them up. These will now arrive in Q1 2021. They're selling fast so make sure you don't miss out by pre-ordering here or placing an order with your local stockist. That's all for this month! We hope you stay safe and we will be in touch with more news before Christmas. Thanks for reading and all your orders and pre-orders with us! View the full article

  23. Hi everyone, Did you spot the various IRM goodies on the Late, Late Toy Show last night? Like "Where's Wally" you can hunt for them in the image below! We were delighted to be approached directly by RTE and provide some IRM goodies for our young enthusiast Aidan Pinto to play with ahead of the show. We were also blown away by his encyclopaedic knowledge of trains and a tad jealous of his great prize of a trip around Inchicore and a trip on an RPSI special! We know that many people worry about the future of the hobby and if it's a dying interest. Kids like Aidan show the enthusiasm is still strong among our youngsters, and as we have seen with IRM stuff and the new 121s selling so fast, the market for Irish outline is growing bigger and bigger. RTE also started a Toy Show appeal to help children and families all around the country in tough situations last night. Check out their appeal and give what you can: https://www.rte.ie/toy-show-appeal/ You can also watch the full segment with Aidan back here https://www.rte.ie/player/series/toy-show-mastermind/SI0000008051?epguid=PI000016306&seasonguid=164762664101 Hopefully IRM will be back again next year, but it was certainly a proud moment for us all to have our business and models featured on the most iconic of Irish television programmes. Cheers! Fran (on behalf of IRM)
