  1. Interestingly....I recall a very basic Lima 08 shunter and oval with 3 wagons setting my parents back £125 punts in 1991, which is €256 now, adjusted for inflation. The increase in quality though can justify the increase in the cost of modern models.
  2. I thought maybe an 800, the speculation on the other chat made me think no, too ambitious. It's a great idea, and like all IRM, it will be an event when my order arrives. Definitely worth buying this unique model. Well done @BosKonayand all at IRM. Now...what can this haul? Will there be a new range of passenger stock?
  3. @Mayner interesting and detailed post. Am curious: why 35mph? Would other wagons not have had issues at higher speeds? A 35mph limit seems drastic...how this would have affected schedules etc.
  4. Orders placed. Looking forward to them
  5. A tough decision, both in being so open in acknowledging the limited demand, and in reducing the ICR range. I hope that the remainder of the ICR range is viable. As someone else said, an excuse to order more....in the name of solidarity. Keep going guys.
  6. Perfect. I hope the Aircon and WiFi also works. Otherwise you'll get a nasty review im the Irish Times - Róisín Ingle: No tea, no air con, no seat booking — another shambolic day on Irish Rail https://www.irishtimes.com/life-style/people/2022/07/27/roisin-ingle-no-tea-no-air-con-no-seat-booking-another-shambolic-day-on-irish-rail/
  7. More importantly will the seat reservation system work, and will there be a snack trolley
  8. Great news, as per the ICR announcement, very welcome and well done to all at IRM for bringing this forward.
  9. Well done, fantastic. Great to have IRM take the financial risk and have the determination to develop this model. More than happy to order them. The real-life ICRs are fantastic and transformed IE. It will be great to see the 3/3/6 car set looping a west bound liner. Fair dues IRM.
  10. Not sure of the arrival time. Certainly after 0920 yesterday so very quick. It stayed in the loop....did not use the platforms. Ten coaches....some furnished.
  11. Belmond in Galway...departed at 11.30. Was told that it's there each Thursday 1400 to 1600. It's to give drivers mileage. Lots of questions from passers by to staff
  12. Thanks for replying. It still appears in the reply quoting the original post.
  13. I believe the statement concerning the financial status of Silver Fox was made by a junior member which was quickly pointed out as out of order by a mod and then retracted by the poster. I can't see the retraction.
  14. I have been a member for a while and follow this forum for advice and ideas. This is my first post. This conversation is disappointing to me. A model is a representation of the original....accuracy varies. Comments on Silverfoxes' financial position should not be accepted. Ungrounded comments regarding the financial standing of a business are by definition defamatory. In other words it's ok to highlight issues in accuracy but the descent into criticism of the business' finances and of others modelling preferences is not only impolite but harmful to this forum.
  15. Thanks, I'll give you a call tomorrow
