  1. I'm learning how to do the printing I have the equipment to print but I can't get it to work. I have a A5 Y point I need to print in P4 very shortly.
  2. I have just been having a email chat with Wayne from British Finescale who do a growing range of point work. I asked him if he had considered doing some of his 4mm standard gauge points in 21mm using the rail components from his growing EM/P4 range, he hadn't but he might consider it in the future if enough people asked. In the meantime he is making the rail components for his A6 and B7 points available from his website https://www.britishfinescale.com/product-p/milled-switchblades.htm https://www.britishfinescale.com/category-s/1517.htm So with the aid of templot 21mm point kits are now available. Marc
  3. Most DNGR coaches were standard LNWR 30ft 1inch coaches widened to 5ft3 gauge. Marc
  4. I saw some on the LNWR society stand on Saturday absolutely stunning. If your a LNWR modeller in 00 or P4 then they probably be on your shopping list. Marc
  5. I was planning to swap the wheels for Gibson's P4 ones any way so they are not going to be a problem. It was the surgery to the top and if I could get the old wheels out which was the bit the was the concern. If it wasn't possible to convert one my other opinion was a London road models LNWR special tank kit built as a DN&GR loco. Marc
  6. I'm looking for a quick win to get a 21mm micro shunting layout up and running. So converting a standard LMS 3F Jinty into a NCC jinty looks on paper and easy win. Firstly has anyone done it? And secondly how easy is it to do? Marc
  7. Follow a number of requests I will be starting the design work for a kit in both 7mm and 4mm once I have got back from Scalefour Crewe next week. I have already stated modifications to my existing GNR(I) 6plk kit to expand it use into other companies. Marc
  8. In my experience of their etches what you think your buying is not what you get. I had a client who bought a Furness Railway Rail car etch from them it didn't match any known photo or the works drawings. It did however match a sketch in a book by Rush. I had to send it back to the client saying I couldn't build it. So good luck Marc
  9. So I need to change the buffers and axle boxes and new wagon. Doesn't sound two much of a task.
  10. The next ones are in the post you should have them tomorrow or Friday. Finally managed to get back online. Marc
  11. Sorry if this subject has been brought up before. I'm planning a small shunting layout in 4mm scale using 21mm gauge track circ 1900ish. Using a mixture of Templot and C&L components build 21mm gauge bulkhead track is not a great problem. So my question is this apart from the GNR(I) and DNGR which other Irish railways used BH rail and when did companies switch from BH to FB?
  12. The first batch are now available. They are £25 each as if you fit Gibson wheels fitted to their 21mm gauge axles they can be pushed in or out to suit your chosen gauge. I have just two of each left from the first production run. They will go live on the website on Monday. Marc
  13. It's been on the cards for a few years. Marc
  14. The first batch of 4mm kits will be available next weekend at Scalefourm (High Wycombe) and they will be going on the website as soon as I'm back from the show. They come with two sets of rocking sub-frames so the builder can used Gibson 5ft3 P4 wheels or OO if preferred. Other scales will be made available on request. The price is £30 and need transfers, paint, wheels and couplings to complete. If this sells there will be more to follow. Marc Dobson Pre-Grouping Railways
