BCDR 2-4-0 No. 6 with the Golfers' Express, including the royal saloon.......leaving from a scale model of Belfast Queen's Quay station......

I checked with a suitably qualified colleague and I'm reliably informed that the correct name would be "Caisleán Chiarraí".
Looking good!

And the ‘Model Irish Railway Building of the Year Award’ goes to......
Probably just a trick of the camera Tony but the track in the pic looks correct for 5ft 3!

Almost packed for my second run to my staging post pre Holyhead Boat at 3am Thursday. Amazing how many wagons you can get into a Smart Car - 300 if I believe my stock spreadsheet.
To the young men at IRM - almost as young as we were when we founded the RPSI - congrats on the Yellow Perils.
I guarantee that my new vehicle has NO working interior lights, NO working tail lights (although you could fit them - tempting?); can be built for 16.5 up to 21mm gauge.
Noel commented on the number of 21mm folk out there - I believe I have supplied to over a dozen modellers using 21mm track. There must be quite a few, as the Scale Four Society makes a W irons/axlebox etch with specially lengthened spacer. Ask Richard McLachlan on Saturday at Bangor how to "stretch" my kits to the correct gauge.
I look forward to seeing some of you at the weekend. If there's a particular kit which you want, e-mail me, or send a PM and I'll set it aside for you.
Leslie
So Leslie, what were your two new kits? Am hoping the loco was the BCDR Ballynahinch branch diesel No. 2 (you did say your new loco was built in Belfast....)?

I can't even begin to understand the amount of measuring, cutting and filing this involves David, and the level of precision required throughout. Mind boggling!!!

Looking good Tony - will be a very sturdy model! Glad to see you making such solid progress.

Just discovered this - great stuff, plenty of character! Hope it's progressing!

Wowwwwwww.........

Following this one with interest JB, just hope you get the liveries right........
Am not an authority by any means but the straight lines catch the eye a bit: looking at Ballynahinch Junction now makes me think I should have angled the running lines a bit in relation to the baseboard edges, even though the prototype was dead straight (until the point of divergence).
Love the culvert and bridge - I have a plan for something similar for my 'micro', plans for which are still simmering! Good luck with the build sir.

I had the pleasure of visiting his Retford on a trip to England many moons ago - he was only too pleased to welcome my colleagues and myself to the amazing building where the layout was located, no hesitation letting four dodgy-looking Irish musicians in!! He was very funny and very welcoming and the layout was awesome - he showed me the spot on the layout where he did some serious trainspotting years before. RIP.
