I entered the venue at 10:00 on Saturday morning-after purchasing a ticket and programme with ease from the ticket office, no queueing whatsoever,
It got busy around the 12:30 mark until 15:30-I left at 16:30 after an enjoyable day meeting good friends, and viewing the various layouts- I will return
Noel, I was at the opening at 09.15, there was about 1/4 of the crowd compared to previous years past. Sunday was more busy there appeared to be some displays abscent and more space too, TDR

Hi All Great talking to many over the weekend at warley show, Paul, Joe, Noel and the gang and Mark and Jim on the only Irish layout Inver and to anyone else whom took the time, I had a great weekend with my son and Nephew, Attached is some pictures, as you can see from the last picture it wasn't as crowded as usual on the Saturday. Partly because of the rail strike. Sunday had a bigger attendance. Enjoy TDR

Ray if you're interested in swapping orange for black roof mk2's feel free to message me. I have at least 3 mk2d's with the black roof, a restaurant and two standards I think. These are too late for my chosen era (1995). I would be happy to swap for equivalent orange roofed mk2's in IE livery if you have any interest.
Hi phil, over a number of years I gathered surplus lima mk2bs and airfix mk2ds with the intention of spraying them into Irish liveries to keep costs to a minimum, so I will be painting these into choosen liveries early next year. but thanks for the offer, someone on the site might be interested if you open the swap to the forum. TDR

Fabulous layout, running session pictures and impressive stock ! - very well done "The Derry Road".
A question for you: in the context of the new IRM Mark 2B/C coaches, I'm trying to decide whether to opt for the orange or black roofed variants - I am generally modelling in the broad orange and black period, have a number of 121s & 181 locomotives, plus quite a few of the lovely new IRM A Class's, any suggestions, particularly visual impact ?.
Many thanks,
George
Hi George, its really down to personal choice, i have quite a few mk2s, but just 6 have the black roofs, and i seem to favour running these over the others, I will eventually be repainting some mk2b stock with the black roof varient to run along with this set (opposite direction) of course. Visual effect , I prefer the black roof, purely because they appear to be more Irish looking, However its your choice or if funds permit invest in both. TDR

Totally agree Nick, great to see everything in person what is available, but I'm heading to Cultra (Belfast) for the model railway day in two weeks and also to Birmingham for the Warley show in four weeks time, I had booked these early this year so have to restrict expenditure, so maybe next year. Anyone have the large NIR logo transfers same as the one on the attached picture that they would be willing to part with, Its for a Hunlset I'm currently working on but have no NIR insignia for it, its only the NIR pair I'm seeking.
