Looks nice on the shelving.
I believe compact/minimum-space layouts can now be referred to a "Shelfies"!

I feel your pain lads, 6 hour, 250 mile round trip. But worth it, 2nd time there. Good location, easy parking, great displays, and trade stands. Some serious amount of experience and expertise in the hall. And all willing to answer even the stupidest questions. Can see the sale of blue LEDs going up, after the show. Would love a more frequently show in the Clare, Limerick, Galway area, but doubt the numbers would make it worthwhile
Thanks to all involved, great show, great day out.
Thanks everyone for the positive comments and a special thanks to all who helped manage the show, the traders, exhibitors and the many, many visitors.
Next year will be bigger and better as it will be the 10th Easter Show at St Joseph's and we will be celebrating Wexford Model Railway Clubs 40th Birthday in 2018! So come join us to celebrate.

What could be more entertaining that an exhibition of the quintessential irish railway ... and you don't have to entertain in the Kingdom both days surely?
The exhibition will run from 12 noon Easter Sunday to 6 pm and Bank Holiday Monday from 11 am to 5 pm. Preparations are well underway and a great show is anticipated.

Just managed to win this on eBay at £15

Hornby released these vans as part of an "Irish Freight" train set in the early 2000's. It came with a 0-4-0 loco with Flying Snail. a yellow coal wagon and a Burmah oil wagon along with a controller/set of tracks. I have a couple running around Ballybeg for variety even though not prototypical... Better models are available now.

I stayed there in 1976 when the station was an An óige Youth Hostel. As schoolboys we cycled from Dublin to Kerry and back over two weeks using hostels each night. Many of the hostels have long been closed including Loo Bridge.

That's just flipping BRILLIANT!
What a fab idea and great pics.
What a brilliant idea. Where did the two locos end up 'double headed'?
PS: I nearly didn't notice the model the first time I looked at the photos
A serious case of size matters and modelling at 12 inches to the foot!

Further to the above, Feldorf a Continental layout in N gauge is to be presented by South Dublin MRC and Curracloe a OO gauge Irish layout is to be shown by the Model Railway Society of Ireland. An additional trader has promised to join us: GModelscene with Gabor Evenich.

Thanks Guys, I will be showing my new N-gauge Cynwyd (prototype on the Llangollen line) and Shunters Yard (compact OO GWR) at the Wexford Easter Exhibition.
-
Llangollen in N is scheduled to appear at the Bala Model Railway Exhibition on May 27th/28th 2017. I am delighted to have the opportunity to show the layout at the site of the original Ruabon to Barmouth line and not many miles from the restored sections from Llangollen/Corwen and Llanuwchllyn/Bala Lake.

Just kidding, Glenderg. I model Irish and UK outline so I have to watch what I call them where!

Patrick,
I'm always super impressed by this layout, and I had an hour to spare this evening, so I worked up Kilmacthomas Signal Box drawings. Hope they're of some use.

Perfect base for a Model Railway Club. The Donegal railway is highly modellable with 4mm and 7mm buildings available from Alphagraphix. Loads of publications with color photos of the railway also.
