  1. I first saw the DD coach at Inchicore during the 150th year open day before they actually entered service. In recent weeks I have travelled in a refurbished DD set, a 22000 and a Mark 4. As far as passanger comfort and ambience is concerned I would rate the DD as best, followed by the 22000 and finally the Mark 4. Of course others may totally disagree!

  3. Any other examples of interlaced track in Ireland? It is common on tramway systems on mainland Europe.
  4. I think that the interlaced, or gauntlet, track was removed about 15 years ago. I remember reading about it at the time but I am not sure of the exact date.
  5. Really interesting collection of timetables. The Bundoran line is of particular interest to me as I used to be taken on it as a child to the seaside, including the 'tea and suger' Sunday evening trains! My recollection is that all the trains were steam hauled but is there any record of AEC/BUT railcars ever reaching Bundoran?
