Casino = little house. They're not fictional. The b*stards got me Lucky Charms. Why do they call it a Casino when there's no one-armed bandits/roulette or any of that jazz in it?

Poor Anthony. We do pick on him - but he's worth it...Anto, it was a joke. -
I'm only surprised that Anto hasn't converted one to fire dirt...

On the old site, we did discuss an 0 Gauge 201 that got as far as a prototype being produced - I'm sure that you will remember who did it before I do...

I like it Broithe, I like it a lot!
I had to give up at that point - I couldn't do 'waggly'...
Latin's by no means dead - it's alive enough for people to annoy me almost daily with mis-uses of - tandem, album, stigma, etc..
And, don't get me started on 'telescopic', even if it is Greek - you won't see very far with them shock-absorbers, will you..?
-
Latin was almost the only useful thing that I got out of schools after the age of ten - Quantum ille canis est in fenestra?

Ladders and walkways on the shed look very good - health and safety!..

If the Americans want to speak English then they should have to pay a licence fee, and pass a test - otherwise it's Navaho, or something like that, for them...Ah yea, now I got ye. Brilliant, thanks Dave, might end up making one if I ever go full circle. As for the Hazelwood/Hazlewood debate, I live in America, where they can't spell anyway. My computer constantly underlines things that are correctly spelled using the queens english!
Just wait until I take over.
The lifting bridge is quite do-able - but the slightly raised hinges are an important feature for a successful device.
-
Thanks for the pics Dave, but how does the track hinge? Are you using flexi track? If so, does it just bend when you lift the trapdoor? Or is there also a gap on the hinge side?
The usual thing is to have the hinges mounted just above the board surface - see the blocks in the picture - this allows the track by the hinges to rise without clashing with the fixed track. The track is cut on the break-line where the door joins the fixed top.
A picture of the top of the door when it's open would explain it... Or try http://www.brian-lambert.co.uk/Hints%20&%20Tips.htm#Lifting Bridge Section
And, is it Hazelwood or Hazlewood? I think we should be told..

gsm = grams per square metre - an indication of the thickness/stiffness of the card. Available from art shops and the like.Your best bet would be to get in contact with Warbonnet (Fran) I would say he would be your man for helping you write out instructions. I know he offered Weshty help with instructions. BTW 180/230 gsm card what is this and where can we get it. As soon as you get all sorted let me know I'll definitely take one of you Richie. Any other buildings in the pipe line that might be of interest to those of us building a layout. -
He's only about twenty miles from me. I don't actually know him, but the 'local' shop owner seems to rate him highly..

Thanks for the advice everyone! Just wondering about broithe's link, is the keen system the one on top, or is it a company which provides a variety of close coupling options?
Maybe give Roger a call - http://www.keen-systems.com/page10.html - he's a good chap, by all accounts.
-
<weak at the knees> !
Anthony - whats with the loud font ?
He lives in the North - I always find that we have to turn UTV down a notch..
-
Would any of the Keen-Systems stuff be suitable? http://www.keen-systems.com/page2.html

It's poor supervision, really. That's the bonus gone..Hmmmm-those council workmen,I'll have to speak with the foreman tomorrow.....Don't worry, only a pedantic bugger would notice it.

Would the 'Bus Lane' script not be the other way round, i.e., to be viewed from a bus driving towards it on the left, if you see what I mean?
-
I thought that I remembered him saying that something had come up, but I couldn't find it anywhere..
He'll be along with a note from his Mum soon, I'm sure.
