I don't actually have any Czech stuff yet - but I might have the odd diesel eventually, I think. Should be over there at some point this year. Classic Model Shop in Prague is worth a look, if you go. http://www.nelso.com/cz/place/1708/

I know someone who has a similar location and she has never been up there.
I told her that he just plays a recording of some trains going round to cover the noise of the still.

It is, I'm all for wheelchair access etc but they could at least make the new structures look a bit better and allow them to match their surroundings!
I've never actually seen anybody use the lifts at Ballybrophy - and the new bridge is like jabbing myself in the eye with my own sore thumb every time I see it.

Help! this is all so new and I'll trying to find my round this new site. Is this replacing the old site or will it still be available for reference purposes? What about running topics like Members Workshops - do they start a new?
It's rather like being a Hindu - it dies, then it lives all over again...
I wouldn't rely on the last site being available for ever. The one before it is still there, but the search doesn't work, for me anyway, and so it's of little use now..

I suspect that I might be on my own here, but I do have a passing interest in Czech railways. I did go to Derby a couple of years ago, specifically to see Smržovka - http://homepage.ntlworld.com/ian.lampkin/smrzovkapage00.html - and very good it was, too.
And it's always a handy excuse for Googling "Czech models"...

Broite
The fact that you were able to get this vid at short notice makes me think maybe you do dig this wombat
You're not going to push me nearer to derailing this thread - let's bring back on track now..

I love that man.
How anyone could make a living with a face like that and a sheet of galvanised iron, I will never know
Two little boys, Jesus wept:cool:
Philistine! He's a National Treasure. He recorded this one when he was seventy - see if you can keep up with him....

Yes - it was one of his little-publicised, free, open-air concerts - this is one of the few boot-leg videos available..BroiteI meant to ask you when you posted this on the last site
Is that Rolf Harris in the background?
And I dont mean the squeeky voice shouting "Nerd"!!

Stand your ground!!..I know I've got to get my priorities right! And don't worry Broithe, I won't take being called a nerd! -
Derby.
in What's On?
I should be going to this one - http://www.mmrg.org.uk/ - probably on the Saturday. Tip me off if you're likely to be there, by any chance.
It's usually a good one, I've been for the last two years and not been disappointed..

Draw the line if she calls you a 'nerd'....

A picture paint a thousand words - as Telly Savalas once said. But, I can't see how to introduce an avatar - I do find it easier to recognise people that way, up to a point..

I'm going to Bangor
Hope you have a lovely time - stay off the cider.....

The embed is a handy feature - works with images too
Right - you use the little 'picture of a tree' icon for that - to the left of the film strip..
-
If I've done this right, then it will show you how easy it is to embed a video here - even I can do it!!..
Just click on the little 'film strip' icon in the menu above and copy in the URL of the video that you want to show - simple..
Now, let's see if it worked.
There you go!!..
