I love Irish stuff and have a fair bit of it, but I run a bit of everything, won't be any particular era which I know isn't everyones cup of tea.

I put the green colour on the wall as a nod to the old CIE livery.

I am a confirmed DC only man, will probably be 4 lines (1st to 4th radius), passing loops, long sidings, lots of full length trains like the old layout, lots of operational potential.

Very old fashioned in the approach I know, but that's just me!!

Sounds my kinda railway I'm DC and a fellow attic layout too 🤣

  2. The new east pier is now home to the world Famous Saint James Gate Guiness brewery so the area will be host to plenty of visitors for a creamy pint of the black stuff and tourists can easily access it via the new Docklands station 🚂 or by ferry in the harbour ⛴ or even open top tour buses 🚍

More detail to add over time..

Great idea, fits in perfectly with the layout. Look forward to watching it develop.

Cheers Jason.. yeah happy with the addition just drawing the town plan for it with brewery and quayside :)

  4. The docklands town scene is taking shape.. between Harbour House office block and the customs house is nestled my scratch built/kit bashed Docklands below ground station entrance & passenger platform lift..

More to follow on the new station and platform works..

    Amazing buildings.

    Did you build them?

They are all kits I bought and built generally..

Most of buildings are faller, kibri, bachmann and superquick with some older Hornby town & country kits from the 1990s.

I have a fondness for town planning and love planning accurate scenes with plenty of details to bring them life..

  6. Ths lockdown has allowed me to reset up in the attic.. the IE 22000 DMU that arrived under the Christmas tree got its first run out this evening.. its a very smooth runner

The layout is all intact after protracted storage and just in need of abit of TLC and the scenery & buildings reinstalled :)

Interior lights – Adjustable brightness flicker free system

    30 Euro per vehicle

There were the latest prices a while back, they might have gone up a little since.

They are built to order so you could be looking at around a year give or take a few months as it's not "his day job" so to speak. I got 3 sets of his 2600 DMUs a while back in all liveries and are great models, fantastic finish on them.

    Hey DeD 😊

Do you know is he still making the DMUs?

    Cheers
