This is looking great.I like the orange band with the step.
If you paint the small round windows with satin black or satin varnish
it would look more like glazing.

Plasticard is just 10 thou, very thin and hard to cut. You need a sharp knife.

There is a lot to do to this kit to ring it up to a good standard.
I got the brass etch and only used the round fan grill. I'm still trying to glaze it
and the motor i got with it was so bad, i put in a Black Beetle which runs very well.
Good luck, it will be nice when finished i'm sure.

The moulds look good.
Bubbles are always a problem and getting the mix ratio right.
I am using resin 3 years old and it still works.

Sad to see the 80 Class being scrapped.
Are any of these going to be kept?

That's a great job,looks very well.
What's the running like?

The bogie frame are made from plastic, a fiddly job.
The motor and gears are a bit noisy but when they get run in a bit
they might improve.

It's great to see this project reaching the finish line. Thank's for sticking your necks out
and we are all very grateful for your efforts and producing a top class model.
This will be a learning curve that will help with all future projects.
