K801 Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Not sure if its been mentioned here before but if you like early CIE diesels, this is the video for you! First 10 mins shows how the IRRS digitized, edited and processed old film and is presented by Ciarán Cooney The action starts around 12 mins in and shows a down Cork Sulzer 113 ( never see a video of of those before), double A classes, Sulzer's, E class, all the small GMs and amazing rolling stock etc. Thank you to Tom Dowling, Ciarán Cooney and the IRRS for putting it together and hopefully they will process more for viewing 2 1
skinner75 Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 I was on the Zoom call when this was shown - great footage for sure! 1
Rush and Lusk Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 As I took an "evening excursion" around the IRM network, I came across this fabulous video (or perhaps we might more properly say "Film" reflecting it's time) - fantastic images and recollections - congratulations to all and thanks for posting.
johnfromoz Posted December 15, 2021 Posted December 15, 2021 Thank you so much for posting this film, for those of us with blurring memories from childhood, these films fill in the gaps so much. So grateful... John in Tasmania
