Why Did The Rosslare Europort Services Go Over To DMU Operation In 2004?

Hi all,

I am just curious to know why did the Connolly-Rosslare intercity services switch pernamently over to DMU operation in July 2004? What were the reasons?

The Fat Controller was most insistent on this matter and indicated that he would become very cross if this situation was not resolved.

Because it was the most efficient way to operate the line.
