Know the feeling Waterford had 6 lines radiating from it, 2 terminal stations gone, 4 lines closed, not to mention the fact that up till the 60's every town in the county had a station.

I think Cork was the worst hit with 5 terminals gone and 4 lines from the city closed, not to mention the Fermoy, Youghal, Mitchelstown,Newmarket, coachford, donoughmore, schull,Baltimore, clonakilty, courtmacsherry and kinsale branches. Plus the direct line to limerick.

I think there was eighty stations in total closed in Co. Cork.

Great find Anto. Sadly it's all gone - warrenpoint trackbed now a motorway, newcastle station a lidl, and newry looks completely different. Imagine the fun and games today with all those crossing points! Like a grown up shunting puzzle.
