Anybody doing repairs?

Hi, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. I have two non-runners a Class 08 shunter and a Silver Fox Class C, both DCC.

I think all that is required is some soldering, its not a DCC issue. Im in the southeast, looking for someone to repair.

Do you have a model railway club nearby? If so, worth contacting them to see if they can help. Another thought is to visit a local model show. There will usually be a stand where you could ask for help and some even do a soldering clinic where you can learn the 'dark art'. It really isn't difficult.

 If not, worth separating body from chassis (usually only a couple of screws) to see if anything has come adrift.

Another option might be to get in touch with Mark's Models shop in Greenogue - they sell a lot of model railway stuff (both new and used), so they might be able to refer you on to someone who does repairs

thanks for the replies. Its definitely some wiring that has come adrift. Ill try Greenogue.
