Portadown Posted Tuesday at 17:03 Posted Tuesday at 17:03 (edited) Some of you may be aware of my layout which is representation of the old Watson Street station in Portadown and the nearby junction. If you have seen it at any of the exhibitions over the past few years you will be aware that it has always been a work in progress. In particular it has never really had a model of the station! Anyway, I have recently thrown myself into the world of laser cutting to construct the numerous station buildings and associated structures, which includes the 3 large canopies. I have attached some pics of my efforts, focusing on Platform 1. Hopefully they are in focus enough to give the right idea. I hope to show the layout at the UMRC event in August. Indeed, 4 x 600 foot long platforms several waiting rooms, 2 subways and 2 water towers. Some great pictures and information in the late Norman Johnston's book 'Parting Shot'. Quote
