David Holman Posted September 30 Posted September 30 (edited) Visited this splendid place today and well worth the journey. Mosquitos, Comets, Vampire jets and loads of other interesting displays that cover the people as well as the machines. Excellent guided tour too. The Mossie with the yellow underside is the original prototype, while the Vampire at the end is a 15 year restoration project done mostly by just one man. Edited September 30 by David Holman 5 3
Bob229 Posted Wednesday at 21:18 Posted Wednesday at 21:18 Great photos fine collection of aircraft, the fantastic Mossie, stunning restoration of the Vampire the Irish Aer Corp also had them in service
Georgeconna Posted Wednesday at 22:21 Posted Wednesday at 22:21 (edited) 2nd that, bit of of the way but great set up. Got to sit in a Sea Vixen there too! The last one is a Sea Venom, Not a Vampire. Edited Wednesday at 22:22 by Georgeconna
David Holman Posted yesterday at 06:11 Author Posted yesterday at 06:11 (edited) Indeed. Thanks for the Venom correction George. The pictures don't really show that it is now a nearly finished kit of parts, just waiting to be assembled. A truly remarkable solo project Edited yesterday at 06:12 by David Holman
