Anyone know of any?….. even on a British Modelling sites etc.?

If you do build your own, remember that both sets of gates 'point' uphill when shut - the right-hand, lower, gates on this lock wouldn't work, if the water was real...

Yes, that's a rip-off. MOst on eBay have been damaged, bits missing, gates 'repaired' or missing etc. Don't intend to pay that, may have to do without. Scalescenes doesn't look bad. May look into that. Tks

That one in that picture is just one that I saw on a layout once, not being offered for sale.

 

Lots of canals around me, and the symmetry of the lock stood out, if you see them all the time. The correct, asymmetric, lock just "looks wrong" to some people, if they aren't used to them.

I think the one in your picture has a huge sinkhole within the lock hence the dates are correctly positioned:facepalm:
