Quiet Man Coaches

At the high, high risk of looking like a moron, can I ask if anyone knows which coaches (as in, just the numbers) were involved in the, "Quiet Man," film at Ballyglunin?

Great information John. The book, A Decade of Steam on CIE in the 1950s, was published by the RPSI 1974. There is no ISBN number given.

I bought it sometime ago, but only perused it "proper" since reading Mayner's comments on it.

Beg borrow or steal a copy. It is a great read with comments from ex-drivers, loads of technical data and photos. Some lovely detail on the J26 and Bandon Tank too.

Hello does anyone know what model train this is if I was looking to buy a model like this or similar ? My father has a huge interest in model railway and the quiet man and I'd love to get him this train for Christmas but I've no idea where to even start to find one the same.

Thanks for any help Liam

Unfortunately, Liam, there's no commercially available train set which looks within light years of the train (either locomotive or coaches) in "The Quiet Man"!

SSM do a brass kit of some of the coaches but these would require a reasonable level of modelling skill to make up.
