Newcastle Station, D.S.E.R.

Just caught a 2900 class operating the early afternoon Dublin Connolly to Rosslare service, passing the bird sanctuary adjacent to Newcastle Station (closed, March 1964). A peaceful place to enjoy a walk and spot the odd passing train, not to forget the many light aircraft movements in and out of Newcastle Airfield which is also close to this location.

Nice pics. It is really peaceful part of the world down there. Shame that train is so slow. Car gets to Gorey 45mins quicker than the train!
