Lovely work
-
Hi
Myself and Baseboard Dave were discussing the drawings over the last few days-
We have decided to revert back to 600mm for the depth of the boards in the drawing, this is because not all raw material boards are supplied with clean-n-straight edges so to allow for economics in getting 4 tops from the one sheet- its best to allow for a bit of trimming.
I will update the drawing over the next few days
Any comments

We are also going to produce at least 4 boards for next year, modelling Dun Laoghaire fully completed. That's the plan at least.

Lovely work David, the weeds look great.

I don't blame ya man, they are all stunners. I want to get a 9F at some stage and kit her out. I'm going to get a smoke generator for the Challanger
-
Bosko if your ever going to sell that 9F I want first dibs on it, its the nuts!

Thanks lads, she's a stunner. Only problem is I have no layout to run her since I have moved:(

Hi Sean,
Have a look at http://www.freetrackplans.com they have lots of track plans for 8 x 4. Also an upper level would work well. You could have a terminus station on the upper level which would break up the lower level taking the train set look away from it.
We do an 8 x 4 in 3 sections including legs for €290 if your interested, it can be made into 4 or 5 sections if access is a problem.
Best of luck with it:tumbsup:

Those pocket wagons look great, the whole layout looks great. Are you switching the signals via points or dcc?

Thanks lads, she is a monster the 071 was tiny beside her! I love the late Union Pacific steam era into early diesels. I want a Big Boy next, that's a 4-8-8-4!

Thanks Rich, I'm really getting into the American stuff. Although my main interest is Irish I just couldn't resist it!

Looks good, keep us posted as you go.

Whats the scale?

David, that is truly stunning work. The layout is spectacular well done

I would love to get a 10' x 5' baseboard with a complete layout running Irish stock on the show next year.
-
It's on the RTE player at 1 hour 20 seconds. Pity it wasn't running Irish stock.

The very best of luck Richie

Those signals are excellent, I have fitted quite a few to customers layouts. They look great on your layout.

Anyrail is the way to go Paudie, simple to use.
