Very nice work Gareth,a rake of them will look the business

You can also get bendy MDF would be ideal for the corner. I can cut a strip for for to match the back scene height.

Coming along nicely

Like Waterford or something?
Something like it, t will be some time before construction starts. I have to get the new workshop finished first.
-
A port for sure, I have a idea of a quay side with a large container ship unloading.
-
I have no particular era in mind, the idea I have will be mostly freight. Timber and containers will be the main feature on the layout with some passenger stock.
Showroom idea ensures a speedy build and get priority over other jobs to do!

Whilst a lot of comments have been constructive some comments were removed and were clearly slating the model. Every manufacturer has to start somewhere and the amount of time and research Eoin has put into his project has to be commended. He is now turning out a stunning model with very happy customers.

Not looking likely chaps for quite some time. Still plenty of stock to go.

Thanks lads, I'm moving in with my girlfriend in September so I'm planning a new layout for there. I am building a timber frame shed something along the lines of 20' x 16'. I plan to use it as a showroom as well for customers.

A video of my new 071's on my small layout. Soon to be dismantled.

My only regret is they did not model "Irish Railways" that would have put it on a must see list for me.
Yes its a pity its not in Irish
-
Ah, I have that one already. Best of luck with the sale
-
That sir is a thing of beauty
Do you still have it, I noticed at the end of the video, best of luck on ebay

Hi Iarnrod, whats the running number? Is it freight?
-
I got my 071 sound chip last week, I like it, but it can wreck your head after a while. Great for shunting. I won't be buying many more.

Very tasty, well done

Sorry to put a damper on things but I got one of those soldering irons and I would recommend you to stay clear!
The tips are of poor quality and are of the screw-in type so they are difficult to replace. On the plus side you get a set of tips for engraving wood which
you might find useful.
The stand works well though!
I have to agree, I bought a soldering station from Lidl last year and it burned trough the tips and then packed in. Steer clear its a false economy.
Better off investing in an Antex there not that expensive

Cheers Dave, they look great!
