Looks amazing. Does look a scene from Sligo engine shed. Looking forward to what both of you build in the future.

Probably park royals or craven as both coaches were used the same era as the A class so IRM could probably make a loco , coach bundle. 461 would make a cool loco as it goes across many eras as well as its unique inside cylinders. If they did a preserved steam engine it would sell very well in my mind.

If you zoom in on this aerial photo from 1955, you can see the trackbed of the Clifden branch from the station across Forster Street, into the cutting and open tunnel mouth under Prospect Hill, across the Corrib, and all the way down through Newcastle and Dangan. The embankment to and the bridge across Forster Street appear to be gone, as well as the Corrib bridge, but the rest looks intact.
It's astonishing to see the size of Galway, and the extent of its rural hinterland compared to today.
Galway would make an excellent L shaped layout but would have to be VERY BIG.

Mullingar greenway is quite a nice cycle. The only incline is from Mullingar to Castletown witch is quite modest

Here is the finished piece:
Putting my Decauville alongside shows how dinky the monorail is. I think on my 2nd one I'll make it bigger, my excuse for the size of this one is that it's a demonstration/fair model. I'll also work on the wheels as this one unfortunately is too tight to run.
The weatherboard is a bit too low, but I really like the loco and I'm definitely going to make some working stock for the system.
Thanks for reading, any and all comments are welcome
looks amazing blue looks amazing on it.

Love the front cover. It looks amazing it keeps the style of the original book [Rails to Achill] which I like quite a lot.

"You're having your BREAK? Get that stuff loaded in the van NOW or I'll tell PJ where you're hiding!"
H C Casserley arrives at Dugort to take photographs of the last steam engine at Dugort Harbour, the same day a week-old B141 arrives on a trial run.
"I feel a right eejit holding this flag up - have ye not got your picture now?"
"Not every day we've the last steam engine and the first diesel into Dugort! Stand still..."
"Paddy, would you ever get off your behind and move that trolley, it's in the picture".....
Amazing photo's. Is 195 RTR or a Kit?

Fabulous photos of the Swilly. What an extraordinary railway it was.
agreed I always feel like it gets overshadowed by the CDR which is a disappointment.

City of Turo in black although not in any way realistic is still a beautiful livery [even if it was only painted on one side] at the end of the day the owner makes the decision what paint goes on his or hers engine.

4-4-0s/0-6-0s would have ruled the rails around there back then. like many have said they were used on branch lines mainly around limerick.

Lovely stuff.
Although my favorite Midland 0-6-0 would be a MGWR B or H class the L/LM were really good engines and were the power horses around Sligo and Galway. You have a proper trio of Midland engines. All amazing made by a certain profesional modeler.
