It's going to be the best Irish model yet, which really is saying something!

What you should've done is bought a BR liveried A1 and gone mad! I'd be bad enough, but you might just kill Bren with the shock!

Dead right Rich, a lot of people missed the boat with MIR, myself included. Would nothing more than a nice string of bubbles behind my 141s or similar.
-
A rtr wagon would be lovely. I like passenger stock but freight is always more interesting IMHO.
-
Hornby use the roco couplers with their coaches and you can buy them in packs of ten. Should have them in most model shops. They will just click into the NEM socket.

081 is sporting black cab doors instead of silver on one side at least

Absolutely, you've got to hand it to the Brits, they've designed some beautiful machines over the years, especially steam and diesel locomotives. And yes, the BBC do that sort of thing very well indeed. Could you imagine the mess RTE would make of it?

I'm like that tonight just looking at her in her box come tomorrow I will probably weather her =))
Tornado is always pristine. Just get a model figure, weather him and stick some pubic hair on his head instead...

Wow they really did a stunning job on her! Look at that engine bay!!
With even 121's in doubt, it might be a while before we see an A
A man can dream!

Absolutely, I just keep thinking how good it would be if Paddy had a go!

Sweet pics, thanks for sharing! The ITG did a great job on her. I just wish there was a good model of the As, they are my favourite Irish loco along with the 071s. I just can't deal with the Silverfox one sadly!

Ouch. I don't know how the guy finds time to work with all the care that site requires.
I believe he was out of work for over a year, and RMWeb recently teamed up with BRM so he now gets paid for it. We'll have to cosy up to Model Rail and make a few quid!

Nice one John, looks well worth reusing to me! Always like the Delaware and Hudson scheme, especially on Alco PAs http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=2322078

Ever caught short waiting for a loco to show up, well it looks like the Chinese have solved the problem...

And one video...
Also met Jonathan McDonnell for the first time who was taking some pics, an absolute gent.

Dead right Rich, I think it's going to be Paddy's finest hour yet, and that's saying something when you consider the quality of models such as the baby GMs and Cravens. Those EMD grills are prominent on a lot of yank stuff too and they really are a multi-layered design. Athearn and Kato chose to model theirs in moulded plastic with decent success but a beautifully rendered separate brass etching could really knock the spots off them!
I have a good close up shot of the grill on an 071 which was parked up in Portarlington a couple of years back. If only I could find my stupid hard drive!!!

Spot on Fran, Paddy was saying today that it will be addressed
Never doubted the man for a second, cheers Anto! It's going to be a seriously good bit of kit.
Enjoy the show?

Would it be seriously bitchy of me to say that the side grill looks a little heavy? Fans look good though!

Just back from Pearse after waiting on the arrival of the 071 hauled RPSI 171 for 171 tour. Just about to edit a video and put it up on Youtube, but here are some pics first.
079 did the honours...
After dropping the passengers off 079 hauled the Cravens into a loop and 231 showed up to haul them back to Inchicore
A couple more pics while I was there...
ICR on its way to Rosslare
And the continued destruction of lovely old Pearse...
Will post video when it's ready!

Thanks
I cant give myself all the credit because I get help with a fair bit of the stuff I do
I'm currently in the process of deciding whether or not to build a bigger layout as the one I have at the moment is too small and I'm quickly running out of space to put stock and when everything is on the line at the same time shunting is a nightmare
Nothing wrong with getting a bit of help, sure I get it all the time, especially when it comes to painting!
If you have the extra space, go for it!

No problem, hope you get your workbench thread going, your skills are getting better and better, great to see a youngfella like yourself interested in the hobby!

It's back up again with limited functionality.

Lads can anyone tell me what is the difference between an ordinary member and a junior member?
Once you pass a certain amount of posts (five I think) you go from junior member to member.

It's not the first time they've had serious problems like this either. Hope it's back up soon, in the meantime I'll just have to spend more time on here!
