Apart from being old Tyco/Manuta, not much Dave. Guessing it's from the mid 90s judging by the matchbox branding? I fell out of love with matchbox when they started making fantasy cars in garish colours instead of replications of real cars. I was a sad child!
The tyco/matchbox fraternity don't even seem to know much about it http://www.tycoforums.com/tyco/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10217
I'm sure a matchbox collector would love to get his paws on it!

Once travelled from Prague to Krakow by train, lovely scenery along the trip, and some of the Czech diesels sound awesome. Nice video here

IR, NIR and IE will be my focus, with a Freight one and a Supertrains one for completeness. I don't know who I'm trying to kid, I'm going to end up with as many as I can afford!
-
Good man Anthony, I do like them with the IR logo, that's when they started to look really rundown and filthy!
-
I love that man.
How anyone could make a living with a face like that and a sheet of galvanised iron, I will never know
Two little boys, Jesus wept:cool:
I thought he'd be a hero of yours, considering some of the stuff you've made money out of over the years!

Stop tempting us away from Irish please :)
Squatters rights!
-
Wow! Kinda shows the cost of small-run irish stuff
Still, 80 wagons to weather - how bad could it be
Very true, but on the other hand the market is huge for the American stuff. I guess it's economies of scale.
Still, it would be nice to be able to buy some Irish wagons (forthcoming autoballasters aside!)
-
When they come in 5 packs for around 70 squids it's hard to resist! I just need to get some funds together again to stock up. Oh and somewhere to put them all!
God help me when it comes to weathering them!
-
any video of that!!!???
40 Autoballasters enough? As you can see, they run good!
-
Are you sure that'll be enough?
You can never have too much. I know I'm over the 20 mark anyway. The trouble is I want two rakes!
-
Haha probably the latter, I think he's done some operations on them. We need to get him on here!
-
They are, I need a good 30 more at least for a proper rake!
-
Yep, seems to be an issue in the curves with them not resetting properly. Brendan will give you a demonstration, I know it's been getting on his tits!
-
Cheers Dave, might look him up.

They do Seamus, plenty!

Very true Stephen and the KFA's are a cracking model also.
Rich,
I wish they'd sort out their close coupling mechanism though, they have a tendency to throw things off the tracks, as do their diesels.
-
Fran the one area where Bachmann have always excelled is in it's freight stock. I remember when they released the JGA in RMC livery, and that still stands the test of time even now. The Cartics are beauties also. Mind you Dapol have been releasing some cracking freight models as well of late.
Rich,
They sure do Rich, have a few rakes of Bachmann modern wagons and older 4 wheel gear for the BR green period and they're all lovely. Streets ahead of Hornby in this regard.
-
Id love to see an 071 in Black and Tan. A preserved 121 in the as delivered livery would be cool too. Fran do Overland get the same company that produced the 00 LMS twins a few years back to produce their brass models as those LMS locos were very tasty.
Rich,
Pretty sure you're correct Rich, Anjin brass did the LMS locos and do Overland diesels. The LMS locos are a lovely piece of kit, but have their problems, particularly with going around corners. The finish is second to none though, and something plastic cannot get near.
Here's a pic of my one, the LMS twins are probably my fave British diesel. Fancy getting some JLTRT O gauge ones when the money starts flowing again.
Have been contemplating the Dapol/Hattons OO version but am going to hold off until the Bachmann one comes out so I can have a running pair and the brass loco can live in the cabinet.
-
Looking forward to these, can see them being very popular.
-
Glad you made it Fran it's good to have you back mate.
Rich,
Cheers Rich, it's good to be back amongst friends.

The bauld A4mallard has a rake of UK ones he weathered up quite nicely. They are one of the nicest model wagons around, I'm sure anyone who buys this limited edition will be delighted with them.

Nice one Patrick, are they all Jouef models? I must admit that I know next to nothing about French outline, although I have enjoyed some jaunts throughout France by train over the years. I do have an interest in all things TEE however, and do love locos like the CC 40100s.
These were downright beautiful http://www.bzt87.com/9004/index.htm
These sound and look awesome
Have you got any LS models stuff Patrick? Heard that they do nice stuff, but a tad pricey.
