Can you please tell me where I can get hold of one of these AEC models my late Father drove one for CIE and I would love to have one on my layout
As DJ has said they are from the EFE range of trucks, repainted into the black and white livery of CIE road freight services-a particular favourite of mine on the layout.

Great work going on out there - how far from the station are you hoping to get the line to?
We can go three miles in the Galway direction and five miles in the Clifden direction subject to acquiring more track panels.

Great to see the work unfolding before our very eyes. Some very shiny looking orange and black coaches nestled away on Platform 3.
Are the track panels held together using those bits of metal while in storage, as wood would rot?
Don’t understand DJ??

At Attymon Junction there was a ghost. It was said that a local girl went there after arranging to meet a man she intended to elope with. When he didn’t turn up she threw herself in front of a train.
She evidently haunts the place to this day. A former signalman from there, who I know, claims to have seen her not once but twice.
This casualty is, though, strangely absent from any MGWR, GSR or CIE records…..
Just months after the Co Donegal had been lifted, a gatekeeper who still lived in a gatehouse somewhere on the Killybegs line heard a whistle one night. He went outside and saw a ghost train passing through the gateless, trackless crossing….
In Tuam loco shed, there was s poltergeist who moved things about. You would set something down and when you came back it had been moved somewhere else.
You are at the black stuff again Jonathan…..
