Hello Ken, Good stuff thank you. I’m now wondering were they Fitzwilliam’s own personal horse boxes, who knows.. Savage models btw. There is another photo in the collection of the church at Annacurragh, about 1.5 Miles from Aughrim towards Shillelagh. The branch visible in the foreground. https://catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000332962 In the Aughrim photo, the start signal at the Shillelagh end of the platform appears “off” also. Pity about the wall for sure. I’m sure there must be more such photos out there somewhere! Cheers Maurice

Deadly stuff.. This may be relevant here.. I’ve been looking through old photos of the Shillelagh Branch. Came across this photo of Aughrim. Wondering are the 2 wagons on this branch set horse boxes? Cheers https://catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000332959

Thanks, It’s this: https://www.modellbahnshop-lippe.com/Accessories/Accessories/ESU-50708/gb/modell_216734.html buffered with this: https://www.modellbahnshop-lippe.com/Accessories/Accessories/ESU-50710/gb/modell_277908.html.. I used DCC Concepts pickup springs. The figures are mostly Faller HO bought from modellbahnshop.. There’s also 1 or 2 Bachmann OO figures I got from Marks.

My 230 came in the same damaged condition, just fyi.

I’d second that, he’s been very accommodating with this file. I’ve asked for a few tweaks and he’s done them straight away! The main reason I wanted this prime mover is for the low idle function, which I think sounds great

Little New Year update on this thread. Neil from Wheeltappers has kindly worked an American 20 cylinder prime mover onto his file. I think it sounds a bit closer to the classic 071. Here’s a demo! IMG_5661.MOV

Hey guys, I have a lokprogrammer question.. I want to transfer sounds between these 2 files but one of them does not have a “sound” menu. Is there any way around this? Cheers

Thank you! It’s great that it allows you to constantly upgrade as new sounds come out Yes exactly, I had a good mess about with the software, then went ahead and ordered the unit haha. Good stuff cheers, i’m sure i’ll be on to ya! I haven’t, but I will now

Cheers yea I agree on that, i’m really liking this 20cylinder file, it has a low idle that sounds very cool: http://projects.esu.eu/projectoverviews/search?cat=2&q=75407 I have a Lokprogrammer on order from Germany.. Getting a grip of the software for now.

Cheers, yea I do have a wheeltappers chip in my MM 112, and i’m very happy with that. I’ve been trawling through ESU sound files, and I recon most 071 ESU chips are based off this prime mover sound: http://projects.esu.eu/projectoverviews/search?q=S0809 Correct me if i’m wrong on that.. I can’t find any files with the exact 071 prime mover 645E3C, but I think this one is pretty close: http://projects.esu.eu/projectoverviews/search?q=S0539

Cheers yes i’ve done some digging re lokprogrammer. I am very interested in going for it, but I only have a Mac computer, I believe the software only works on Windows 10? I’m based in Dublin, would definitely appreciate the help if I do find an old laptop or something that can run the software

Ahh ok, it’s a close kept secret so ay.. Yea I wouldn’t be too fussy. I just want a loco that doesn’t sound as high pitched as most of the sound chip options out there. I’d say it’s a big job for you altering audio files and programming decoders?

I’m looking for a sound chip with 645E3C sound (current prime mover of 071 class except 076). I’ve been looking into this, and as far as I can tell Mr Sound Guy Zimo decoders are the only option. Am I right in saying that? Cheers, Maurice
