  1. Spurred on by Mol and out of fear I might miss out I duly placed a pre-order and I was pleasantly surprised that I was entitled to discounts with the very few points I had built up. Very much appreciated AS/IRM!
  2. Or none if modelling tramore in Railcar days! Unfortunately, the aul Leaving Certificate is getting in the way of my modelling at the moment. I'll get back to it soon. Just a month or two to go....
  3. As someone who is (sort of) in the process of modelling the w&t this is honestly incredible. Captures the site perfectly!
  4. And sure while your at it you may as well put out a few W&T coaches too!
  5. Suppose the Tramore driving trailer is a bridge too far??
  6. Only had the pleasure of meeting the man once, in Blackrock college last year. Was very complimentary and overall struck me as a gentleman. Looking back I just wish I had realized who I was talking to at the time. Rest in Peace.
  7. Just said I'd throw out a quick question on the off chance somebody "in the know" could help, Has anybody any idea what time "An Sairseal" will be passing Kildare this Saturday? I'm passing through the area and hoping I might get lucky.
  8. Where can I pick myself up one of these? Perfect for my totally unprototypical layout!
  9. Have to agree with you there, pass it almost daily. Anyone know of any other views of the place?
  10. Was not expecting such comprehensive replies within 15 minutes! Many thanks gents.
  11. Just gonna throw out a question in case somebody may know the answer. While at least one of the examples on the Waterford and tramore was converted into a driving trailer for the AEC railcars, would anyone be able to shed some light upon which of the green liveried options would be most similar? (Although I suspect they're all different in reality...)
  12. Well to be fair it's one of the few places in London I know. It's actual location within the city is unknown to me!
  13. I'm actually struggling to believe that this is the same scale (albeit different track width) as my own trains. I can really see the draw of 21mm here. Great work (not that it means much coming from me!)
  14. While I'm yet to tackle a complete kit of my own, let alone a scratch-aid. I must admit, you're doing a good job persuading at least one more person to possibly dig out the soldering iron here!
  15. Never realised Sambo was a derogatory term til now, I had always thought they named the loco after a sandwich! (That term actually dates from the 1970s)
