  1. Nice! They got there in the end - hand delivered too!

(for context - I tried posting them, but the parcel ended up being sent back to me due to some customs issue sending to the Canary Islands)

I was thinking that's what it was, rather than 'paint bleed' on the model itself! Hail hail IRM's eye for detail!

  3. Plans have been unveiled for short-stay accommodation and a major model railway project on the Waterford Greenway at Kilmacthomas.

Waterford City & County Council has commenced the Part 8 planning process for the project, situated at the village's former railway station.

Labour Councillor Ger Barron says it's an exciting development for the local area - and outlined more details to WLR News.

He described it as "a work of beauty".

"In my view it will be a very big tourist attraction - people will love it when they see it. It's accurate in every detail, explains the history of the line and includes all of the features along the line such as towns, villages, tunnels, bridges and station houses."

Cllr Barron explained that it will be built in a separate unit alongside the former train station as the existing building isn't large enough to accommodate the entire feature.

The model railway was created by the late Lar Barton over a period of 30 to 35 years.

With all the money in the world! I would love to see a narrow gauge rail system to all the remote villages in the country linking to a rail system covering each large town and city properly. 😊

A rail link to the airport would do me! 😆

I was thinking it gives me an excuse to buy a box of Quality Street then I will have lots of shades to choose from!!!

Or back in the day, a bottle (glass) of Lucozade, with the orange plastic wrapper, that you could take off & look through for an orange-tinted view of the world!
