Hello everyone,
Got 3 more spoil wagons weathered and I'm really quite proud of them, so that's 4 now done and onto the next 4, obviously if there's anything seriously wrong with them or anything that can be improved be sure to let me know, I'm happy to take constructive criticism as it all helps
Many thanks

Thanks guys for your comments, I appreciate them a lot, it's a way of telling me that I'm doing something right and not completely wrong lol, the spoil wagon was the one I was unsure about because they were quite unique and I had to rely on few colour pictures and sometimes colour pics can be quite misleading? But it seems I've done alright, just finished painting the other 7 and will be applying transfers shortly, happy modelling folks

Hello everyone,
I managed to get the brake van, cattle wagons and coal wagons complete last week and then I began work on Northern Ireland's most famous wagons, the spoil wagons.
These are done by Provincial Wagons and are absolutely superb kits, such a joy to put together, I have built 8 (5 for myself and 3 for a friend) I've nearly finished one of them, just the buffer heads to do then onto the other 7
Many thanks

Must drop an email to SSM, thanks for the heads up, do you know if he does LMS NCC ones?
-
Superb, absolutely superb, may I ask where you got the transfers from please? I really need to get a few.
-
Absolutely fantastic I have a few to build myself, I see you replaced the buffers, what did you use?

The top gear team used those paintball tanks in an episode, so funny

The bachmann range of economy sounds was canceled a while back I think, but there's always hornby and their £25 TTS sound option, or train tech and their £40 sound chip and speaker....

Lovely job on the brake van, I'd like to buy one from SSM kits sometime, can they be built using super glue?

Hello everyone,
Once again sorry for the delay in this update but better late than never painting figures does take an awfully long time, anyway these are the Zvezda 1/72nd scale Germans in late war winter clothing, superbly moulded in hard plastic so there's very little flash and lots of detail, highly recommended. Then once those were done I started to finish off the Whippet that I started a couple of weeks ago and here are the results, I'm really happy with how it's turned out particularly the weathering and tracks. Now that was all the military kits over and done with I began on some (railway related yay ) GNRI/SLNCR wagons, these are still in the making, they are resin kits from Provincial Wagons, very easy to put together and have lots of detail, the 4 coal wagons are to be heavily weathered.
Thanks for looking, take care,
Nelson

Model Era - Is it an age thing or am I just a dinosaur?

I grew up with 80s, 450s and the current 3000 and 4000 class, but have never witnessed a proper goods train apart from 111s with ballast trains, yet despite all that, I model the steam era somewhat 60 years before my time
