  1. If IRM were to release the CIE version, I would look to buy it, To be fair, I have purchased everything so far that is released. I for sure would not cancel my current other for both IR and IE, I am looking forward to the delivery of them. I would wonder how much it would cost that would be all considering the changes that have to be made.
  2. Is there an issue with Irish Railways models website? Seem to be having DNS issues when I try to get to the website from IE: Chrome has a connection timeout error when I try with that. Firefox gives a server not found error...
  3. Rails have a Class 201 Lima for sale I see on their ebay store, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LIMA-OO-IRISH-CLASS-219-RIVER-TOLKA-IE-LIVERY-DIESEL-LOCOMOTIVE-RARE-11A-/202112310906?hash=item2f0ed51e7a
  4. Like the new website, it is nice, well done. However I do see on the support that you have the option to download information sheets on the Cement Wagons and the Ballast Wagons, the links seem to be broken, this is the error I get when I click on the Cement Wagons: This site can’t be reached The webpage at https://irishrailwaymodels.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/IRM-CIE-cement-bubble-info-sheet.pdf might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE
  5. Is there an issue logging into the IRM website? It seems to have been updated, however my sign on is not accepted and when I try to reset my password, it does not recognize my email address.. Is there an issue?

    News on Hornby?

    Stumbled across this, https://www.ft.com/content/75ec9b90-3188-11e8-b5bf-23cb17fd1498
  7. Congrats to everyone at IRM, a great result. When Accurascale gets its first product onto the British market, for next years poll, it will be very interesting along with the releases for IRM for 2018. An exciting year ahead, and the best of luck with Accurascale.
  8. For my 2 cents, I would prefer to know in advance, as in what notice we had with the bubbles and wagons. I know there were delays in the bubbles because everyone at IRM was not happy at first with quality of the first samples, and I think that everyone seemed patient about it as I was keeping an eye on it, but when we saw the quality of the bubbles, it was worth the wait. I would not mind a delay for something that is announced from the original eta advised, if the quality is to equal that of the bubbles and also to be fair the ballast wagons were also fab. I am sure that if something that is announced, intended to be released and for whatever reason does not make it to market, all I would say is thanks for giving it a lash lads!!!! To be fair to everyone at IRM, you all deserve a big thank you for the products that you have brought to the market to date, I am for sure very happy with them, all I need now is to get a start on my layout, maybe this year?
  9. Done and all the best of luck on it. Would be sweet if Irish Railway Models wins it.
  10. If anyone is interested: http://www.adverts.ie/models/1975-lima-irish-rail-set/13817354 And also saw this: http://www.adverts.ie/toy-cars-trains-boats-planes/cie-rolling-stock-transeurope-express-railway-buildings/13611335
  11. Many thanks again to everyone for this, my father did say that there was a turntable there at one stage, I did think that it was a pity that I could not find in the library there any pictures of the station, it being something of importance to the town in it's history. I do hope in time that I can get a model of it built but I have a lot of work to do before I can get to a layout. For now I can collect bits of anything released in the way of Irish models.
  12. Was any track taken away or is the track still the same as it is there today? Many thanks to the replies on this question already, I really appreciate it.
  13. I am wondering if there is anyone that would know what the railway station in Charleville, Co. Cork would have looked like in the 60s? I would like to plan a model railway and have a station based on the station from 60s and 70s. I would like the track layout if anyone can advise and I cannot remember the buildings that were there in the 80s, except the signal box, as I was a child then. I live at the moment in the USA. If anyone can advise where I could find out on this, I would greatly appreciate it. I am not able to find anything really online about it and when I was on holidays during the year, I failed to get anything on it from anywhere I tried to in the town. The station had very nice buildings but of course these were torn down as part of IE when they built the building that is there now.
  14. Hi I am wondering if anyone has looked into the mail train when it ran. Also, curious to see if that particular train would generate interest......
  15. Hi BSGSV, I know that is the case but they are the closest that are used to model on the Irish MK 4 models that are available as RTR? Just trying to keep costs down when I get to the stage of doing this. I was kinda hoping that Murphy Models would do an RTR run of them but nothing so far. I do see that D&M offer RTR at the moment. When the time comes and if they are still available, I may just buy some of them, I know that it would take a lot of time and effort to get a correct model for a MK 4. Actually, a question for D&M, would you ship to the US? If so, I assume that EU taxes would not be deducted when it comes to shipping outside the EU? If that is the case, I may arrange to have them ship to an Irish address and pick them up when I get back home for a holiday. I would like to be able to spray and the cement bubbles I think is the right way to start rather than going in at the deep end and trying to get a MK 4 ready. Again, I do appreciate any info that everyone that has posted so far here. I find all information useful. I am sorry that I missed out on Graham's Toymaster on the run for the first of the 2700 DMU model. Not in a position at the moment to get the next run neither that is nearly sold out going by the website :-( MMIE353
  16. Thanks Glenderg, David and Burnthebox for all posts in regards to my question, yes I am needing a lot of luck with houses as it is not working out so well as I had hoped, we will have to see what happens there. My wife actually has said ok to getting a house with a layout in mind. All I need is the house and some extra cash and off we go. Thanks again to everyone, mmie353
  17. Thanks for the replies from ye both, i appreciate it. Is there a color code for any freight stock like the Irish Cement and Ammoina tanks? Also there are the Guinness ones as well. I would like to try the freight first to get used to spraying. I am going to be a while before I get to this as buying a house, with the space for a layout is what I am working on now
  18. Please advise, I am thinking about building a layout as I do have some Irish RTR models. I would like to be able to get some MK4's but I do not know what are the painting codes if I try it. It will be a while before I will attempt to do it. If someone could please advise what color codes are used to make a model of a MK4 please advise. I do live in the US so I will be trying to get stuff locally here. If someone could advise of other color codes used by Irish Railways, Supertrain, etc I would really appreciate that as well.
