  1. Great news all round. Obviously, the stand out model from the announcement has got to be the Mk3 stock. But I have to admit, I was pleasantly surprised to see the Galway livreried Mk2d included. Not everyone's cup of tea I know, but for some strange reason I've a soft spot for them.

Just wondering why the head lamp boxes are silver rather than the usual white for that livery.

If it's an issue for someone, it can be easily sorted. I certainly won't be loosing any sleep over it. Too good a model for that.

That is an amazing Bell liner with 121's double heading. We need a video Noel.

    Rich,

Couldn't agree more Rich. It wasn't that long ago, that seeing such high quality RTR models of both the 121 and 42' flats on a layout, would have been only in our dreams. Lovely stuff as always Noel.

Are they still trading? I emailed about getting transfers and a few other items and as i haven't received a reply I'm wondering have they been hit by the pandemic?

Still operating as normal. Got some bits and pieces in the post this morning. Des has recently changed his email address, might be why you're not getting a reply.

A genius of the game albeit a tortured one. That goal against England in 86 the second goal was one of the greatest. Won the world cup in 86 on his own as it wasn't a great Argentina team.

Without doubt a genius on the pitch Rich. He played in an era when harsh tackles were the norm, and man marking was an art, yet he always came out on top.

As you say, it was a decent Argentinan side, but nothing special in 86. He was the driving force, and they were destined to win it with him there.

The second goal against England has gone down in history as one of the best ever, but the two against Belgium in the semi final are often overlooked. Both, were pure class also.

It's not always easy to tone down bright colours when weathering, without it looking like you've gone too far. No worries on that front with these. That's a lovely job.

I nearly did the soiling thing myself, I stress nearly.

'Tis why I ventured out to the man cave to inspect this beauty further. I can make as much mess as I want out there. You know me too well Rich :D

An alternative to using DCC consisting is to simply give two locos the same DCC address

Apologies Noel, and without trying to sound smart, but I've no idea what 3 steam locos pulling a Cork - Dublin train up a hill and out of a tunnel has got to do with anything.

Maybe I'm confused, but DJ asked what a DCC consist was, which my reply seemed to cover, as stated by you above. I'm fully aware you can have more than two locos in a consist, and when you dig deeper into it, it's possible to send individual signals to each loco. Again, I was trying to simplify my answer without complicating things.

It's the last time I'll bother to post a comment on the topic again.

    What is an Advanced Consist?

It's a straight forward process of pairing two locos to run together (double heading) on your layout.

Basically, you log your two preferred loco numbers under one, on your controller. When you enter this number, both locos will work together. It's easily cancelled when you want to run each loco individually again.
