WheelTappers did a 121 sound project for me using the 645E prime mover. I understand the 121s ended up being re-engined with the same motors as the 181s.
Am I correct in saying that engines for some 121s were taken from obsolete C/201s (which had in their turn been re-engined when their Crossley engines were discarded)?

It’s impossible to do justice in a few words to Anthony’s memory. A guy who lived a half century of life to the full – in fact you might say he crammed two half centuries of life into one.
The word enthusiastic was made for him - for when he was on a favoured topic, not only his eyes, but his whole being lit up with his passion for the subject.
Some of you will know that Anthony acted as Provincial Wagons agent in Dublin, attending the last two Wexford Easter exhibitions on my behalf.
He also built a large number of wagons from my kits for clients who wanted a RTR version. If you’ve got one of those, treasure it, for he was a master modeller, as well as a really great guy.
Richard, who has been digitising the IRRS drawings archive, has lost an able and helpful assistant. We can both testify to how a request turned into speedy action and useful results – we just had to ask! If he didn’t know something, he knew someone who did! When I said “PALVan” to him, he arrived in England a month ago with thirty pages of drawings, photos and details.
A man of many parts - from his younger days in England (he was no stranger to the House of Commons, no-less); a really serious cyclist; very involved in Scouting; a first aider; a very competent engineer with an eye and enthusiasm for detail and getting things just right; skills he demonstrated anew in smaller scales. Shamrock Rovers has lost a passionate supporter, the President will have to cheer louder in future.
But most of all he will be dreadfully missed by his wife Lorna, Caoimhe, Oisin and little Fainne (pictured with her Daddy at Wexford in 2018), to whom all our love and sympathy is showered at this very sad time.
Pax tecum, noster amice
Leslie McAllister and Richard McLachlan
So sorry to hear Anthony made a great contribution to the Wexford MRC's Exhibitions. He will be missed. Rest in peace.

Actually these belong to another WMRC member - I will check and get back to you on that!
These are John Walker's Rosslare Express set developed some years ago. The engine is most likely a Will's kit on a Hornby chassis afaik. John hasn't been around for a while but I will ask next time I see him to confirm.

That's right - all of the South Wexford stations were built to the same plan including island platforms and basic station buildings.

They look like modified GWR pre1925 stock. I modified one carriage that was GWR and the look great. What is the name of that lovely looking layout and could you put up more pic of it as I do not use the ald Facebook.
MM
MM This layout is "Rathmichael" by John Walker a long-standing member of Wexford MRC who has produced many Award Winning OO Irish layouts some of which have been shown at Warley and elsewhere over the decades. "Rathmichael" is owned by the club and is slated for renovations/upgrades once the current restrictions are lifted. It is based on the now closed South Wexford line and is named in honour of a Founding Member of the club Michael Curran R.I.P. I only have a few photos on file but will get more soon.

If you said that a few years ago you would have been thought crazy but it's better than nothing.
Wexford MRC hope to have an extended Wexford Festival Opera Open Day in October if this covid situation is resolved!

In place of our annual exhibition Wexford MRC are putting on a Virtual Model Railway Exhibition instead! Click on the following link to our dedicated Facebook Group: Virtual Model Railway Exhibition and add pictures or videos of your exhibition layout.

When I was involved with the Downs of Patrick, one 1st April we put the word about that a fish had been found in the water tower, blocking the outlet, and this had been noticed by the fireman who noticed a much reduced flow when he was watering No. 3 prior to a day's shunting or something.
Investigation found the fish, which it was reckoned had been dropped by a heron flying overhead which had dropped it, having caught it in the River Quoile moments earlier....!
The number of people who believed it would astound you.......
Then there was the new livery for E421.....
Looks well!
