Could everyone stop being so reasonable, I want mine now!

I have used old 8 pin decoders in the past for functions only but I always carry out programming on an old spare 8 pin chassis and then install in the rolling stock saves any hassle. 
 

Everyone has their own way of going crazy!

Does this one work well, install easily , no wires showing? Looks like it has a small stay alive so hopefully no light flickering?

They work fine for me but light flickering is still an issue 

Congratulations to all involved. The KUA’s are stunning and your constant contact with customers and regular updates deserve the recognition shown through these awards.

Any new freight movement by rail is a positive news story. 

The problem I found with using coupling bars on the small four wheel stock is finding ones flexible enough to stop them dragging each other off the rails at crossovers and curves. 
 

This is on a layout with large radius points and 24 inch minimum radius curves. 
 

I just ended up using Kadees on all of them. Fitting them by sticking onto the bottom of the coupling box.

Plus there was a period between the 70’s dying and the 450’s being in full service that I would imagine anything goes as long as it moved!

Peco at Beer is a real delight to visit. The business has a really professional look and the site is a credit to all the staff and it’s owners. 
Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

After previous encouragement earlier in the thread I contacted Railway Modeller about an article on my layout.  They were very interested and I submitted everything requested. Haven’t heard from them since, that’s 5 months. 
I made them aware of this forum back then. 

126 works the bubbles although an A Class would be handed for the load tonight!

Fitted a backscene just to help finish the layout off. 

Mk2B Driving trailer leads an eighty set into Ballymena past a MV.

Now there’s an idea for the IRM lads!
