I see that the IRM website now has a UK option post Brexit. Glad to see that IRM is making trading with us lads located in GB and NI as convenient as ever.
The A class appear at the moment with sterling prices and I’m sure all stock will appear shortly.- 4

For anyone interested here’s a short video of fitting tail lamps supplied with Murphy Models 121’s to IRM stock. Hope it’s of help to someone.

If I was new to the hobby, yes but too many other interests in railway modelling like British and Canadian. Even though the Canadian stock doesn’t run on my layout Ballyercall, I can use the fiddle yard for both layouts.

The 121’s are a cracking little model but does anyone else think the IE logos have been put on IR orange bodies and the IR logos put on the IE orange bodies?
-
Received 2 IE ones from Hattons this morning 16 hours after payment! Impressive service as usual.

I always just buy blank ESU sound decoders and just manipulate the free files from the ESU website using the Lokprogrammer to get the result I’m happy with.

Could you go smaller? I put the magnetic coupling I usually have on the baby GMs and they're slightly too long. Kadee 18s are what fits the babies.
I fitted 19’s but I also had to fit a small piece of plastic shim in below it to get the coupling height right.

Unfortunately I have had two locomotives with broken vacuum brake pipes-129 and B132 both on the cab end, however I swapped around the brake pipe on B132 from the nose end to the cab end and replaced the nose end with a spare vacuum pipe from the IRM 42’ bogie wagons,
On 129 I decided to replace the vacuum pipe on the cab end with the IRM brake pipe-which is stronger than the MM one.
See before and after photos below...
The hole needed opening out a little more to accommodate the IRM brake pipe.
Great idea. I forgot about those little spares! Thanks IRM.

You purchased this from a retailer and that's who'll you need to deal with. No point in going to the manufacturer as you have no contract with them per se. They're not sold out and the smaller model shops have some stock depending which one you need. I can't imagine @WRENNEIRE will be keeping all those boxes of 121s for personal use either
ON the topic of decoders, I presume if running this in consist (where the consist will rarely be split up), is anybody planning to put a sound decoder in BOTH locos of just one with a Lokpilot in the other?
Here’s the exact quote from the reputable retailer
“
Sorry to see this
We have sold out of this model, Murphy Models has discontinued the item as no more is available so we're unable to get this replaced for youThey do not do repairs, I would advise we get this back and get it fixed for you, however I suspect it may have to be glued.”
Can I just add that this is a lovely model of a classic loco.

I received 2 so far and both had damage. Can’t seem to get any support other than if it’s damaged return to retailer for refund as this item/items are now discontinued from the Murphy range.
I don’t usually moan publicly but this was a tad disappointing.- 1

Does anyone know if there's spares going around? Two of my 121s have arrived with snapped vac bags on the cab end and would like to get replacements.
Vac pipe on the cab end broken on mine also. Must be a slight weakness in the packaging that must press against it once it gets a thump or two in transit.
